Cruddy Day - Rant

The day started with such promise after my LO slept in two hour chunks rather than waking every 45 minutes due to reflux. This was such a win. Then I had my 6 week pp check up.
I have been consistently bleeding bright red since LO was born. After bloodwork and an ultrasound it was determined that I have tissue left in my uterus and need to have a D and C on Thursday. This has me anxious to be away from my LO and and unsure how to manage recovery time.
While at the ultrasound, I missed a feeding. Luckily I had a few frozen ounces and she took a bottle from my husband. When I got back she seemed off, but I attributed it to gas from drinking from a bottle. Shortly after she dozed off. She woke up, however, screaming. Her temperature keeps flirting with 100.4 but not hitting it. Why must babies get sick after hours? Doctor said if it hits 100.4 go to ER if not observe and track feedings and diapers.
