best stretch mark products?

I recently bought bio oil and use it with Palmers cocoa butter. Has anyone used these and had good results? I recently got the purple scars and I'm starting to see some white ones too.

Re: best stretch mark products?

  • I would not use palmers at all!! I started getting stretch marks on my stomach and rubbed some on every night. About a week later I broke out in a weird itchy rash. It wasn't pupps or anything the doctor could explain. It's just now going away. After trying to find remedies online for itching, I found a lot of threads where others had used palmers and something similar happened to them. I recommend using vitamin E oil and lotion. It will fade the marks. They never will truly go away.

  • Ive used Palmers my entire pregnancy and its been awesome! ive had no issues at all. I suffered bad with stretch marks during puberty and have only just slightly started getting them on my hips at 35 weeks pregnant. If it works for you go for it! If you develop a reaction, stop... no harm in trying but :)
  • I used Palmers and was able to hold off on stretch marks until late in my 36 week. I got awful stretch marks during puberty, but these are very faint and so far there are only 4. I also heard that when your done stretching mederma (sp?) for scars is good to help them fade.
  • The best thing for stretch marks is genetics lol! I rubbed coconut and vitamin e oil on my body religiously several times a day from day one (even at work!) and I got them once I hit 40w1d. I tell my son every day I'm going to get him back for that hahaha
  • Belly balm by honest I really like it! Keeps my stomach hydrated.
  • I've used coconut oil mixed with lavender. It's very soothing.
  • Mama mio belly oil. 2 pregnancies with zero stretch marks. I also believe it might be that I stayed active and went to the gym 3 -4 days a week my whole pregnancy.
  • I used maderma to help my stretch marks fade. They were super dark deep and purple post baby, but they will fade in time.

  • Wow thank you for all the great suggestions!
  • Burts bees mama bee belly balm. No stretch marks til 39 weeks. I really think it is unavoidable if you're going to get them, unless you deliver early since they grow so much at the end.

I got some stretch marks during puberty, a few on my hips and boobs. Maderma and time helped fade them. Now I am not even self conscious about wearing a bikini. We'll see how I do with the new ones front and center around my belly button.

  • My stretch marks are the exact same pattern as my moms but I have less and they are not as dark. She gained more weight then I did with her pregnancies. I used bio oil and Burt's bees mama bee everyday and at 35 weeks they just appeared:( I plan on using Maderma after baby!!
