Spotting and Terrified UPDATE

So I started spotting a little bit this afternoon. It's not much and I'm trying not to panic, but I'm so scared. Something similar happened with DD around 6.5 weeks (I'm 5.5 weeks now) and it ended up being a small SCH and everything turned out fine. I'm trying to stay positive but I'm nervous. Depending on how the evening/overnight goes I will give my OB a call in the AM to see if doing betas makes sense. Not much anyone can do right now.

Sorry for the frantic post. We really haven't told anyone so I can't really talk about it to anyone but you ladies. Now I have to host my in-laws for dinner when all I want to do is put on sweatpants and go to bed. Ugh.

Try not to panic. I started spotting a little earlier this week (brown when I wipe) it lasted a little over a day and it was very light. I called my OBs office just to be safe, esp. since I was out of town for work! They told me to keep and eye on it and if it turns to red blood and cramping to call them. We have an u/s scheduled Monday morning to be safe. If you are worried at all, give them a call. Good luck, I heard a little spotting is normal.

Thanks so much for the comfort and support ladies! It was very LIGHT spotting and it seems to be gone this morning. Fingers crossed it's gone for good. I'm not going to bother calling the OB unless it comes back, because there really isn't anything they can do. I have an appt. next Wednesday and I will definitely discuss it then.

I called my OB and they want me to come in for an US tomorrow. Not sure what they will find since it's so early. I'm so sorry to see this has been a sad day on the board. Thoughts and prayers we all get though this.

I went in for my early u/s today. Everything went well, the doc checked for bleeding and was able to date at 6w1d. We even say the heartbeat. Since your spotting was very light and already stopped I am sure yours will go the same way. Thinking of you, keep us updated!

@klauerinaking I'm SO glad everything looked good for you! I did have a LITTLE more spotting today which is why I called. It was brown and very light so we will see what tomorrow brings. Such a wreck! Did they do betas or they didn't feel it was neccessary since everything was on track?

No, they didn't do any blood work, I don't think his office does betas too often, they didn't do it last time either. Yeah, and I guess since the pregnancy look good then there was no need. I have an appt with the nurse next week to do my lab work.

FYI, my spotting was also brown, like brown discharge (sorry if tmi) and it lasted about 2 days.

Thanks for the info and encouragement! I'll update tomorrow after my appt. I can only hope it goes as well as yours @klauerinaking. Though I doubt we will see a heartbeat- I think it's too soon.

I just found a spot too when I went to the bathroom. Totally light brown. I hope it falls into the 'normal' symptom category too.

So got back from the OB a bit ago and everything looks good! I am so thankful. Saw a little flicker but no real heartbeat yet, which is no surprise because I am so early (5w4d). OB said I'm not miscarrying as of now, so fingers crossed when we go in for our appt next Wednesday (which was supposed to be our first appt) we will see 8 days of growth and a good strong heartbeat. Until then fingers crossed. I am going to stay as positive as possible and know that for now everything looks good. Hopefully all spotting will stay far far away!
