Misscarriage dreams?

They started about two weeks ago, but consistently every other night or so I keep having dreams where I misscarry. Anyone else having these?

Re: Misscarriage dreams?

  • I haven't had any yet, but it's probably just your subconscious releasing pregnancy related anxieties.  Dreams (and nightmares) are often where we funnel our fears and I wouldn't worry about it too much!  (Though, of course, I know that's easier said than done!)  :)

  • Am I have dreams specifically about miscarrying?  No, but it's not abnormal to dream about something.

I've been dreaming a lot about not being able to breastfeed, but that doesn't mean I won't be able to.  I'm just having anxiety about it.

  • No miscarriage dreams, but I dream a lot that I forgot the baby somewhere (library, playground) and only come home with the older child. I guess I fear that I will forget that I need to being home two kids because I am set in the routine of bringing home one. In my dream I only remember the next day and go back to the place but the baby is gone.

It's stressful but I guess it's a way for my sub-conscience to work through my anxiety.
  • I had a lot of those early on (I've also had a MC before). Some were so real I woke up thinking I was bleeding, and took a min to relax and realize it wasn't real. I think it's just an expression of any anxiety you have about your baby, don't let it stress you out to much. Try to feel that little baby move and you'll feel better :)
  • I've had a few dreams about the baby being born now (being ok but born way too soon and in a stable but scary condition). I think it's natures way of getting you fears out. I would try and relax if I were you (I know easier said than done) and accept the dreams got what they are - just dreams (not present but just dreams). I've had a lot if nightmares this pregnancy so I know it's not easiy.
  • I've been dreaming of being killed ran over by a car shot pushed down stairs numerous of things quite scary. Things that make me anxious in real life SO tells me just be careful.
  • I did in the beginning. Which I'm guessing is because I had an early loss with our first pregnancy.

I haven't had any lately about miscarriage, but I do dream about things I feel anxious about. So maybe you're subconsciously anxious about it.
  • YES! Had a terrible dream last night - probably my third or fourth.
  • I don't remember my dreams, but my DH tells me that I have been moaning in my sleep every night, almost as soon as I fall asleep.  We assume it is because I am having nightmares.  It started a few months ago in the middle of my second trimester.
