  Is it red? Is it all over or only in that one spot? It's possible it's just baby acne like @kkerner87 suggested.

  It only looks really red like that sometimes and it's only in that one area of her head and down her forehead a little. And I definitely don't see it as much until I'm in outdoor lighting.
  I don't wash anything of hers with anything but free and clear detergent and no fabric softener, but my clothes are still done with downy. But the shirts I was wearing today both didn't get any softener. (Both layers).

  My LO gets heat rash when I baby wear him. We both just get too warm. If it's only in that one spot, I would be inclined to think it's a rash of some sort, either from heat or fabric. My baby's acne isn't localized to one area on the head.

  It looks pretty normal for this age. It will likely clear up after a week or so.

  Mine started with something similar in 1 spot and it spread all over his face/neck/head. In my case it's a combo of acne and eczema. I started using Aveeno eczema wash and lotion and it's looking a ton better 5 days later.
