Xs maternity??

Im very petite and having the hardest time finding xs maternity. Esp dresses for my shower. And at a decent price. Anyone else? Any ideas?

Re: Xs maternity??

  • Tarhet? Motherhood Maternity? I see xs at both places all the time. If that's still big I would just size up in non-maternity clothes. I went to a wedding last weekend and wore a non-maternity dress that fit fine.

  • I have the same problem. Target has xs but I was just there today and they have more casual stuff than cutesy baby shower outfits. I'd like to know where I can find xs and petite stuff as well, but places I can actually try it on instead of online! Maybe I'll try Macy's and let you know :)
  • Pea in the pod has some!
  • Motherhood Maternity has clothes that fit petites. I'm a small framed person at 5' and on my first visit the sales lady told me they didn't have anything for me so I tried a different location and those sales ladies were amazing. I found two dresses for showers and the holidays. Good luck!!
  • @curtis8611 I'll have to try a different location too since the one I was in today the sales lady told me the same thing!
  • I had the most luck at motherhood. They have a lot of clothes with the stretchy material that fits small or allows for more.
  • Ditto Motherhood!
  • I'm xs as well. Target xs clothes are still big and too casual like someone mentioned above. Asos has really cute maternity clothes and dresses but it's a little pricey. I bought my maternity photo outfits and a nice dress I could wear to multiple weddings there!
  • I've been shopping in the juniors section at Kohl's and just sizing up one size for dresses. I wore a dress to a wedding a couple of weeks ago that wasn't originally intended as a maternity dress, but worked out just fine. I also have several sweater dresses one size up that I pair with a belt and boots. The struggle to find really small maternity clothes is real! Target's xs maternity jeans bagged so badly on me! It was so disappointing! I have given up on real pants and wear jeggings and leggings. No one cares :)
  • Not sure if you have a Destination Maternity (part of Motherhood Materniry) where you live or if Motherhood does the same, but if you see anything online from them in your size that they do not have in stores you can stop in or even call and they will order it for no shipping fee and have it directly sent to your house.
  • I'm a small/medium but second just buying a size up in regular clothes if needed. Besides all of my pants, I rarely wear maternity tops and I have a pretty good size bump. I'm thinking I can get away with this for another month. Also if you haven't tried the Bella Band you should! You can get away with your regular pants for longer than you think!
  • I'm also having trouble finding xs clothes. The only place I've gotten any bigger is my belly and that's huge. But target and motherhood's xs sizes are still way too big in the shoulder areas. Sizing up non maternity clothes has the same problem. I've managed to find a couple of things that mostly fit on Amazon, but it's really hit or miss. I usually end up having to return 3/4 of my order.
  • Swap.com if you're okay with secondhand!
  • I'm petite as well - pre-pregnancy I was 5'3" 115 lbs. The only place where I've had luck with tops is Old Navy. I bought some petite pants from Motherhood Maternity which are fine, but their tops are awful. I just ordered a bunch of their tops online and they are all gigantic on me.
  • I am petite myself and HM has a pretty good selection of smaller sizes maternity clothes. At Target and old Navy the xs selection was hit and miss and mostly pretty baggy.
  • I'm also extra small and have had no luck w/Motherhood or Target.  I've been buying most stuff from H&M and Old Navy/Gap.
  • Thanks ladies:) old navy gap and macys have all been a little hit or miss (hint macys sells motherhood, pea in a pod and jessica simpson) sizing up just doesnt work because ive only gained in belly and boobs so it looks extremely baggy. Im 5 ft, 85lbs pre pregnancy, which adds to my difficulty.
  • Good luck. It's terrible that some sales people don't seem to care
  • I am also fairly petite and have purchased zero maternity clothes... Moved a size up in tops and pants as well, but haven't needed
to buy any maternity clothes. I am 27 weeks now and so that might change, but for now I am good ;).
  • Agree with pp, I found flowier tops in brands I know are small (Vera wang, Lauren Conrad). Can you tell I went on a spree at kohls today? Lol
