B6 reverse effect?

edited October 2015 in June 2016 Moms
I went and got B6 last night because I'm almost through week 2 of constant nausea and I just need a break! I took it last night after dinner and felt great for about an hour then all of a sudden got a wave of super nausea and it turned into the worse it's been so far...cold sweats the whole nine yards (I don't throw up but I sure wanted to last night). This morning I feel like I have been hit by a train! I'm afraid to take the B6 again. Anyone else had this happen?

Edit:because I'm dumb and can't spell

Re: B6 reverse effect?

  • Nope! I swear if anyone took my B6 I would probably fight them for it LOL.  I do notice I can feel it wear off and I know when i need to take more.  I stagger my doses 25 mg at noon and 25 mg at 5p, as I get sick around dinner time.  I did one day of 8A, 1p, and 6p and felt like a million bucks, but secretly I like feeling nauseated so I know i'm pregnant LOL.  Plus i'm afraid of taking any meds.  Also, if the nausea gets so bad later on then I can increase the dose.  I do notice if I take it when I am feeling nauseated it takes an hour to kick in, sometimes I get very close to puking, then all of a sudden I'm tolerating it.

It doesn't work for everyone though, so far it has been like a miracle for me :)

  • I haven't taken B6 but I do have sea bands. They seem to work if you're looking for another option to try :)

  • @likeabel have you tried sea bands before this? I've tried them on a cruise and they didn't work, so not sure if it is worth it for me.
  • @aloha5736 I didn't try them before but I had a friend that always got car sick and she swears by them. It could all be psychological for me!
