Posting this message before hand: Please don't give me crap for posting this type of post even though there are millions more like this. I have seen them myself so don't worry about me being illiterate or something.
Anyways, I'm probably one of those who fall into the category of not even knowing what contractions are, so I'd like to ask you ladies for your experience.
I have low backache pains that have been taking place since August. I'm having lower abdominal pressure and finally, the persistent menstrual-cramps have come out to play. Also the sharp vaginal pains I've been experiencing are more persistent now.
I just want to hear your early labor symptoms so I can prepare myself since I'm home alone most of the week while my husband's away at work 10 to 7 pm. Also if you can let me know how long these symptoms lasted before you actually started going into the first stage of labor. I know everyone's pregnancy is different but it would shed some light for my concerns and simple curiousities.
Thank you!
Re: Please share early labor symptoms !
sorry this basically just says what everyone else says trust yourself you will know I am sure you will. I know it's hard to believe because it's your first. You got this!
Also I have gone into preterm twice and each time the contractions felt different. The first time was cramps that spread all up my stomach and pelvic region. The second time was 100x worse.. It felt as if I had a 20lb weight inside me shoving down to my uterus and cramps that knocked the breath out of me. They radiated all around my hips and stomach. That's my best description. I'm a FTM so I didn't know what they felt like but honey once you feel them.. You FEEL them! I'm glad I have experienced them so I have an idea of what to expect when LO actually gets to come out.
My early stages of labor with my daughter started in the middle of the night, I kept waking up because I was having menstrual like cramps in my lower back that would last a minute then fade away to no pain at all....I woke up in the morning and went to go pee and my water broke.
So that's how mine started, for me it felt like a menstrual cramp in my lower back and my lower abdomen... except every few minutes, instead of a regular cramp that is just an ongoing pain.... They would fade away to no pain, then come back. On and off, on and off, I guess that's how I knew they were the real deal.
