I've looked thru the other posts on the topic and it doesn't really touch my question. I am 36+1, and have done nothing but lose weight all pregnancy... Even more so now that I'm on the special diabetes diet. Granted, it's not easy but it is a lot easier then I imagined it to be. I guess my only concern is i can NEVER get full. I am always hungry. Is this normal?
Re: Gestational diabetes
Wait !! What?? You're allowed pumpkins, cheesecakes??!!! Really? I'd love to have them. Both of them are on the not to have/limit list for me:-(
Also I discovered pumpkin pancakes don't spike me. Again- the fiber in pumpkin helps.
I seem to be very lucky and have a pretty mild case though.
Cheesecake surprisingly doesn't have a ton of carbs and the fat in it slows the spike down. We have had cheesecake in our house all week and I've had a piece a day with no affects.

Wahoo!! Thank you, it's off to stock up on cheesecake and pumpkin I go!!! Thank you for making my day :-)
