I rejoice in the fact that I have a positive pregnancy. It's a great feeling! If only I went to Sam's Club the day I found out I could have gotten my free membership.
Thought I would share my story. I have a four year old boy. He's amazing. Such a sweet boy. November 15, 2012 I had a miscarriage. It was rough. March 7, 2013 I had a chemical pregnancy. January 8, 2014 I delivered a healthy, beautiful baby girl. She is a spunky ball of fire. Makes life fun.
I am five weeks pregnant. I just stopped breastfeeding in July and went straight to birth control. I haven't gotten a period so I had no clue how far along I was when I went to the doctor. Thought maybe I was 12 weeks. Nope, sono didn't even show a baby so I was much earlier than thought. Based on date of conception, I know exactly how far along I am now. It's frustrating that I have to wait so long for my next ultrasound. But I want to be sure we can see the healthy, beautifulish baby on the sonogram.
I found it strange though, at my first appointment with this new obgyn, she didn't take blood, urine, or ask any questions. Sono and done. See you in 3-4 weeks. That's not normal right?

This pregnancy I had an early u/s at 6 w due to spotting and will see the nurse/blood work at 7 weeks. Next u/s is at 8w5d. I think it all depends on your history, if it's your first pregnancy and/or low risk they don't see you until the baby is big enough 8-10 weeks so that you can see and hear heartbeat.
Early u/s are just nerve wrecking!
