Newly developed allergies?

Over the last few days, something has been causing a pimple-like breakout on my legs and arms. Went to an urgent care this morning to have it checked out and they think it's just a skin allergy reaction. I'm not really allergy-prone, and am not usually sensitive to soaps/lotions, etc. I did start using a new Aveeno body wash last week, but wouldn't the rash be all-over if it were that? Anyone experience new allergies only while pregnant? I'm kind of at a loss, and couldn't sleep last night after consulting Dr. Google and thinking I had scabies. I'm still a little freaked. GAHHH!!!!!

    It is not uncommon for pregnant women to develop new allergies while pregnant.  I personally  have not had it happen to me (knock on wood), but I have a friend that developed a severe fish allergy while pregnant and the allergy persisted after the pregnancy as well.

    When my ds was 6 months old, I ended up developing hives.... he is now 14 months and I still get them every day if I don't take meds. No known cause. I have heard these types of things are common during/after pregnancy.

    When I was pregnant with my first, I developed an allergy to dairy. It was pretty bad. Thankfully it disappeared after she was born.

    No experience but my acne and eczema acted up during my first pregnancy. FYI - Benadryl is a category B med and generally regarded as safe during pregnancy. Just make sure it's just diphenhydramine and not the allergy sinus combo Benadryl.

    I have developed seriously crazy eczema in the last few weeks. mainly on my ears! also I have random giant pimples on my neck...these babies make us crazy from the moment they're conceived!

    It's pretty crazy! I'm going to remove the new body wash and go from there eliminating some of the common allergens to see if I can find a culprit. It's creeping me out though!

    it could honestly be nothing besides your own body. I haven't changed a thing (I'm pretty comfortable in my routines lol) and this just happened.

    When I was pregnant with my DS I had and horrible itch on my scalp and my skin was super sensitive to all soap. I had to start using neutral baby soap and shampoo. It got better with time....

    After DS was born I developed eczema. It was awful but thankfully only on two fingers. It took a year to completely clear up and countless lotions, even prescriptions from my dermatologist didn't work. I broke down and bought a ridiculously expensive hand lotion in a fit of desperation and of course that worked.
