Upcoming Appointments: next one is in 3 weeks

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I started unisom and B6 this week and I'm feeling soo much better! MS isn't gone but definitely significantly reduced most of the time. Had my first u/s this week and baby looks good! I have an infections though and the antibiotics I'm on are the worst tasting pills I've ever taken!

Questions for the group: I can't think of one...

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family? I had never been on an actual vacation or flown in a plane until my honeymoon.

  • Week/Fruit: 10 weeks today/Prune

    Upcoming Appointments: Nov. 3

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant: Long story short, my mother and I are estranged, (some very bad impassable things happened) I don't speak to her or want her in my life. Has been this way for 5 years. My Aunt, who knows this, sent her my ultrasound picture! I was so irate and so upset. I immediately felt sick to my stomach knowing that my mother knew I was pregnant, especially when I imagined her looking at the picture. I'm still so upset over this.
Rave: SO has been so supportive. He takes good care of me. Also, my stepmom sent me some pregnancy books, a bella band, and some great Mama Bee stuff from Burt's Bees. Love them!!
Symptoms: Still nauseous, still so so exhausted. My knees down to my feet ache a lot suddenly :( Eh, I'm almost out of the 1st trimester, so hopefully things will get easier soon.

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family? I have no first cousins, whatsoever.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: 3 waves of MS throughout day, fatigue, big ole bloat.

  • Week/Fruit: 11 Weeks/Lime
(Put the lime with the coconut and mix it all up) Sorry had to lol!

Upcoming Appointments: November 3rd/ 2nd appt.

    Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Nausea here and there. I still want to sleep all the time. I'm starting to get pains here and there in my lower stomach. So ready to be over this 1st trisemester!! Hoping for some energy back!

    Questions for the group:
    Can't think of any.

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family? Umm..my DS is left handed the only one in the family and I think that's an advantage in sports! We are going to be team green. Not announcing until Christmas! My two SIL are about to have their baby's one just did last week and one is due after Christmas! Both are having the first girls on DH side of family. So we are hoping for a girl but all in all a healthy baby. We have 3 boys. Two from my DH previous marriage and we have one together. :)
  • @sjecc09 I would say the earlier the better. Once we announce to family, we will ask my MIL if she is interested in watching our baby and if not, we will start looking then. So probably December.
  • @mrstmoose That's what I'm thinking. Childcare is hard to come by where we live, and many places have wait lists that are YEARS to get in (which is crazy). As soon as we tell friends, I'm thinking I'll have to start looking! I know a coworker went to interview a new place for her little guy, and they interviewed HER, not the other way around, as 4 other families wanted the spot, too. Thanks for the advice!
  • sjecc09 , as long as my appointment goes well tomorrow, Ill be calling daycares starting this week. I am also in an area where wait lists are crazy. Getting nervous about it TBH...

  • Week 7 - blueberry

Upcoming appointment: I have my ultrasound scheduled for 10/26 which feels like years away. Can't wait!

Rants/raves/symptoms: I wake up every morning thinking "today is when my nausea will hit" and it hasn't yet, just hints of it here and there. My biggest complaint is back pain. I'm also starving 97% of the day. Oink oink

Question for the group: what do you guys eat for breakfast? I've been making scrambled eggs so that I start the day with protein but I'm getting tired of them.

GTKY: I think I mentioned this before but we're going to have a baby boom in my family. SIL, me, and my cousin are all due within weeks of each other. There's a slim chance SIL could have our babies the same day - our due dates are only a few days apart! I'm so excited for DD and the new babe to have a cousin so close in age.

I usually go with yogurt or oatmeal, which are both good foods to eat while pregnant, according to thebump :)

  • @beff12 I just found out my cousin is due 2 days before me!

For breakfast, I do eggs a lot of times (hard boiled, scrambled with veggies, etc), oatmeal, or fruit/cheese/crackers. They seem to be the only things that appeal to me in the morning other than carbs/pastries! Maybe a tortilla with eggs/salsa, toast with almond butter/banana would be good options?
  • @sjecc09 that's so exciting about your cousin! It's nice having a family member in the same stage you are :)

I've been eating salsa like its my job, so that's a great idea. I'll try it tomorrow!

  • Week 11: Lime

Upcoming appointments: November 5th, follow up u/s. I'll be almost 15 weeks. I need to decide if I'm team green or not...we might take a peek.

    Rants: I'm an emotional mess.

Raves: I've been able to keep this baby a secret so far! The she hasn't slipped up, either.

Symptoms: None. Everything disappeared middle of last week.

GTKY: Interesting fact about my family: my family has averaged 2-3 babies born every year since 2003. I have 8 siblings, dh has 9.

@beff12 I usually have Ezekial toast with peanut butter, sliced banana with cinnamon sprinkled on top for breakfast.

I was eating toast with mashed avocado and egg on it, but I've been unable to keep that down lately. I miss eating eggs!

  • Week/Fruit: 11/Lime

Upcoming Appointments: October 21st We go for first US and an OB appointment

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant: my husband keeps asking (he says it's jokingly) how much weight I have gained so far. I finally got him to understand that when I say its annoying I mean it.  Hopefully that ridiculousness stops. I have put on 2 lbs but it looks like more since I am constantly bloated. My symptoms list includes all sorts of fun things like Sleepy, regular kidney stones, humongous sore boobs and an overwhelming desire to eat everything i see. The key to that last one is trying to make sure i only see/have good stuff around . . .

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family? This munchkin will have 4 half siblings that range from 17 to 24 years old.  I feel like we belong in a show like Modern Family with me as the strange foreign wife lol
  • Week/Fruit: 7 / Blueberry

Upcoming Appointments:  10/14 ultrasound, 10/19 first OB appointment

Rants/Raves/Symptoms:  I had spotting for five days last week which is why I'm getting an early ultrasound (also did a blood draw last week that came back high enough that they can see something).  Hoping so hard that everything is going okay in there.  Today is also the first day I've been feeling almost normal as far as ms goes, although still a little nauseous.  But!  I have eaten things and felt fine afterwards which is such a relief.  Hoping that continues!

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family? My grandma, who does not have Norwegian ancestry, is super proud of my grandfather's Norwegian ancestry.  This amuses my husband and I to no end.

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow, actually! Not sure what to expect, but I assume it won't be as long as my first appointment.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm pretty exhausted. I hope that goes away during 2nd Tri. My housework is really suffering >.<

Questions for the group: do you think they'll try to use Doppler at my appointment this early?

GTKY: (stolen from yesterday) What is an interesting fact about you or your family?

My dad's great aunt was able to trace back our ancestors to the first Dutch settlers in America (their leader, actually). She put it all into a book, which is pretty neat.

  • @lalala2004 I think they could use a Doppler for you! I had an appt last week at 8.5 weeks, and was told there was a 10% chance that they could hear a HB, even that early on. If you're at 11 weeks, they SHOULD be able to hear HB!
  • Week/Fruit: 10/prune

Upcoming Appointments: I have my NT Scan & MaterniT21 blood draw on 10/26

Rants: I crave sushi every day. I'm dealing with the cooked stuff but it's a struggle. I can't wait until I can eat raw tuna nigiri again!

    Raves: Ice!!

Symptoms: Nausea, fatigue, boobs of death.
