Fox was born at 1:07 am on 10/7. He's happy and healthy! If anyone wants to ask questions about joe certain things went, please ask--I'm happy to share. This was my first time and there are a few things I wish I could have known. Overall, it was great. I was induced using cervadril, then labored without an epidural for 9 hours, then took the epidural. 3 hours before the epidural, I started having intense contractions that had no break between them. After 3 hours of that, I needed help. The epidural was night & day. It was great. It left me with enough feeling to move and feel my legs and know how and where to push. I tore pretty bad and had some dramatic constipation after, probably due to norco. Please ask questions--- happy to help!
Congratulations @LittleRocket !!!!!!! Beautiful baby boy!! I'm new to the bump, currently in the tttc group, was just curious what worked for you getting pregnant, did you go through fertility meds, Ivf the whole shabang? And I don't have any specific questions but what are some of the things you say you wish you knew before?
We did ivf with icsi. It took us two rounds. We did not try iui due to sperm issues. None of our embryos looked very healthy-- we transferred all bus me ones both times (first round we had 4, second round we had 6) buy we had to convince the doctor to do it. He was afraid of us having multiples. I'm happy to share my experience with anything! I was mostly thinking about the birthing process and perineum after care, which I'm still learning about and in the midst of after a third degree tear. I'm actually surprised by how well I'm healing, but it's a lot between the perineum, nipples, uterus, and feet! But I would do it again, in a heart beat, over and over. I'm totally in love and so happy I'm finally here with the baby I've wanted for so, so long.
@littlerocket wow 3rd degree yeah I'm sure that's a lot to deal with on top of everything and having a new born, I guess you suggest letting them cut then?? Even with everything like you said what a blessing!! Crossing my fingers I will be in this group soon!
@LittleRocket if you are beast feeding and having issues with sore nipples see if you can get nipple guards and shields. The guard helped me until I became used to nursing and the shields helped keep my bra off of them so they could heal. Also I've fallen in love with earth mommas nipple butter. Hope that helps!
