Stroller and car seat?

Just wondering what everyone is getting?
I'm in love with the Cybex Cloud Q...literally the best car seat I've ever seen. But it hasn't been released in the U.S. Market yet. So I hope it comes out before my baby is due. Getting the Cybex Priam to match for the stroller.
But I may need a back up idea in case I can't get ahold of that car seat.
What is everyone else planning?

Re: Stroller and car seat?

  • I'm planning on getting the Graco Dynamo Lite Classic Connect travel system.

  • I got the Britax b agile stroller and the b safe car seat. I had the Britax b ready stroller with my last 2 babies and loved it.

I know a lot of people who love the Britax b agile stroller. I had a Britax convertible car seat that was amazing. So I know that brand is great with safety and quality. I just never looked into their strollers before.

Keeping it simple, Graco click connect 30 (super light-weight) and Baby Jogger City Mini GT w/adapters. Done and relatively budget friendly.

I'm seeing a lot of models I'm not familiar with. I have to start googling them. Lol......I had a peg perego for my last child. But there are so many options on the market its hard to decide.

What are your thoughts on the bugaboo?

I think it costs way more than I care to spend :) I have never checked it out in person
  • We're doing the chicco bravo travel system.  We liked it best of the strollers/car seats we tried out, in store.  We may get a jogger stroller at some point, after the baby is born and is older, but for now I think this is our plan.
  • Bob stroller. Chicco key fit 30 for car seat
  • Graco Travel System. I haven't even really looked yet but that's the brand we are going with.
  • This content has been removed.
  • We registered for the Safety 1st Step and Go travel system.  I liked how the stroller was a smooth ride and the carseat wasn't too heavy to carry by itself. DH wants his own carseat for his truck so we went with a Graco MySize carseat for him.
  • Has anyone seen the Cybex cloud q.. it's quite amazing! The only car seat ever that has the option to actually recline when out of the car into a full flat position! A feature I would love to have in all car seats!
  • Were getting the Aton Q since it's one of the top seats to fit in my car. Even the Aton 2 isn't recommended by the car manufacturer. We also got the Baby Jogger Summit as the stroller with adapters. I love that Baby Jogger fits Cybex.
  • Graco connect.

  • Huh?  I'm not paying for the car seat.  What happened in your life to make you so hostile and angry?  My family is getting me a car seat and I wanted the safest one possible so my baby can be as safe as possible and that's a bad thing now?

It's just confusing that you are concerned for the saftey of the child you are now buying an expensive car seat for, when you previously said you were considering traveling interstate to have a third trimester abortion performed ?!
  • I'm also crossing my fingers waiting on the Cybex Cloud.  If they aren't out by December, I'll get the Cybex Aton.

Once it's older, I'm going with the Britax Advocate Clicktight so maybe if the Cloud isn't out yet, I can just put it in the Britax to give myself a little bit more time to wait.
    QFP

So you are worried about being able to care for and pay for "it" at all but are getting a $250 carseat? Why not troll elsewhere?

    MUD
  • Agree that's all MUD or just a really unfortunate situation for everyone involved but let's keep this thread on topic. I'm interested to see what everyone's going with

OP we are using the Graco Snugride travel system. I love it because it has a base that the seat snaps down into in the car. So if LO falls asleep we can just take the whole seat inside. Edit QBF
  • I am using baby trend, as it fits three across (at least, fx it will). We have a double and single snap n go.
The car seat is on the lower price range, but the safety reviews are good.

Two years, two losses and three IUIs...

    We are having TRIPLETS!

Pretty much all infant carriers have that feature.
  • Anyways....8-|

I'm using the BOB Motion travel system (it comes with the Bob B-Safe by Britax carseat).  Great all-terrain tires if that's something that you need!

    I never said others don't.
  • Went with the Graco Aire travel system. I was happy with the reviews and overall price.
  • Sheesh. Are people touchy today?
We got the Urbini Omni, from Walmart. It's got the snap-in carseat, but also a bassinet attachment for the stroller that we plan to keep in the car, too. (Hubs said, "What a good place for quick baby-changing that isn't just the floor of the trunk!") Even after carseat is outgrown, she'll still fit the stroller into toddlerhood (or until I break down and get an umbrella stroller.)

If you want an in-depth review of most available in US, I would def recommend picking up a copy of "Baby Bargains." It really does help. It's not all about the cheapest model--but about the best product in 3 different price points. I really have relied on it so much.
    Best of luck!

Now I'm off to check out your original wished-for stroller. I'm curious.

I emailed Cybex directly who told me the end of December or the beginning of Janurary they would begin to ship but that it wasn't a firm date. My sister is coming from Italy for the birth, so if it hasn't been released yet here in the States then I'm going to have her bring me one from Europe.
  • And can everyone please relax and stop fighting?! We are suppose to be talking about car seats and strollers! This is a fun exciting topic. Not sure how it got so messy.
  • I am getting the uppababy vista and messa car seat. Baby with sleep in the bassinet that comes with it in the beginning.

It's because of other conversations on the board.  People aren't just agitated out of nowhere.

    Must be all the estrogen.
Eta glad you're excited, I hope you can get the carseat you want. I don't know why but it does make a difference when you get exactly what you want for the baby. :)

  • We're getting the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT with adapter. I actually just want the convertible carseat (Chicco NextFit) because I plan on babywearing more than strollering, but my husband is insisting on an infant seat.
