  If it was your doctor that told you to continue your Metoprolol, then I would continue to take it, the benefits definitely out weigh the risks during pregnancy, especially since pregnancy can cause high blood pressure in a patient who doesn't already have hypertension. 
  
  If you're really worried - have another discussion with your doctor or OB so they can let you know their reasoning and maybe make you feel more at ease - or even find an alternative (if that's a possibility).
