I just got my first one last night, I'm 25 weeks today with baby #2. I got them consistently from about 25 weeks to delivery with my first. This was one symptom I was hoping to skip this time around!! Ugh!!! Nothing I did last time around seemed to help, it was simply a nightly thing!
Got them a lot when I was pregnant with ds and have been getting them off and on with this pregnancy too. I only really get them during the night though, but like a pp said, they wake me up and I have sore calves the next day lol
Potassium and magnesium. The one night I forgot to take my magnesium supplement I got the worst Charlie horse ever. My DH said he thought I was in labor I was screaming so badly.
Yes. One woke me up the other night at like 3 AM. It felt like someone punched me in the calf. I've upped my water intake and I haven't had any issues since then (knock on wood).
Yes happened to me last night, it was so painful!! I thought it was caused by sitting in a 12 hour meeting and not getting enough water....either way it was not FUN! OUCH!!!
Water water water! And that moment when you feel it about to happen carefully flex your foot. Never point it (your instinct is to point, but don't)! I learned that a year ago (used to get Charlie horses a lot) I have never had one since.
Definitely flex toward your body! I get them all the time and the first night I was so tired and couldn't think how to make my body move to make it stop. Now it's a regular thing and I let it stretch a little and then pull my feet back into a flexed position.

I just got one last night and the night before in the same leg in the middle of the night! Happy I'm not the only one waking up with a sore leg! My mothers advise definitely helps. Point your heel out and toes up towards you!
Starting at about 18 weeks I was getting them every night like crazy, but the doc recommended drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day (for my amniotic fluid, not the Charlie horses) and I haven't gotten one since I started doing that!
I just started getting them last night when I was sleeping. Guess I partied too hard yesterday. My ginger beer w/lime must have been too wild and crazy hahaha. Hoping these tips will help!
