We were pretty set on Samira for our baby girl #2 but yesterday I heard Neela (Nila) and it sounded nice as well. Husband says either is fine by him. Now I am conflicted which to go with. Help please?

Edited because I totally misunderstood the OP.
I like Samira better. Neela isn't bad though.

This is interesting. I thought it'll go 50/50 but seems like Samira is winning. Please keep your votes coming. If you could tell me why you think one is better than the other, I really appreciate it as well.
I actually like Neela better, I think it's whimsical and pretty. Samira sounds so serious to me. It also sounds very close to the word "smear" to me, which is one of those words that always makes me make a face.( Pap Samira, anyone?)
wasn't the scary little girl from the movie The Ring also called samira?(Note: if you haven't seen The Ring, don't -it will ruin this name for you...also it's very scary.) actually, maybe it was samara, not samira....either way, that association is not good for me.
I like the name Neela(Hindi). Samira(Arabic) was your first choice so go I'd stay with it. Neela, Nila are both same name prounpunced same in Hindi. In English they aren't. Research the names maybe you'll like the origin and meaning of one better than the other. I'm pretty sure that Neela means blue not sure on Samira. You could always use one for first and one for middle.
