Sudden new allergy?

So I'm almost 11 weeks along and I'm pretty sure I've developed a sudden allergy to the lotion I've been using everyday for years. The past two days I've been incredibly itchy, my skin feels like it's on fire and I've broken out in these hives or welts. I figured out it's only in the areas I apply the lotion. Has anyone else ever had this experience with developing a new allergy while pregnant? I don't know if some of you will think that other people's experience won't do much good for me but I'm just really surprised to get such a severe reaction so suddenly. I don't know if it's just some kind of reaction my body is having because of the pregnancy and it will go away afterwards or what. I already had an appointment with my OB on Tuesday so I will ask about it then but I just find this so weird, I thought I'd see if anyone has experienced it, maybe it's more common than I knew. Thanks ladies.

    I broke out in hives around ten weeks.  I was in a new area for the weekend staying at a friend's house and using her lotion, but the hives came out in areas where I wasn't using the lotion too.  I figured it could possibly have been a plant in the area too.  My doctor didn't seem too concerned about it even though I've never had allergies before, but the hives passed as soon as I was home and haven't shown up since.
