I really don't understand the concept even though I have tried. I can't tell what is what. This is my ultrasound from 7w3d that was abdominal

  • Here's the deal: there have been 4 previous posts about this. They don't go over well here because the theory has been debunked. If you want to go for it anyway, this should help: https://www.thegenderexperts.com/ramzi-theory.html Please don't expect us to read your picture for you.

  • ramzi me does sound dirty, LOL
  • I'd do it, but where am I supposed to get a gorilla costume on such short notice?
  • @sshortwlsc you're right, she can post whatever she wants. But, others can flame her for not lurking and knowing that this won't go well. So you're right. But so is everyone else.

Also, being part of a community requires actively participating and lurking to know what the community is like (during the 3 day wait period). If you look on the 1st Tri board, they get the same response.
  • I don't know what a Ramzi is, but this is a COMMUNITY and I think you should post whatever you want and people shouldn't tell you what you can and can't write. If you don't like it, don't read it! There is no need to censor other people!

I disagree, actually. I think you have to be respectful of the community's values. The Bump, in general, has a tone, and that includes dismissing bunk science. We like snark here. We have an edge. There are other sites where the tone is different. And if I were to post over there, I would not walk in throwing around snarky GIFs and such. Because, again, I would consider the culture of the online community. To not do that is disrespectful.

I know that this is a community. I also know what the flow of the board is because I have been part of the community. If people want to post pictures and make a silly guess, that's fine-- I gave her a legitimate link that explains the theory. I also think it's not appropriate to drive-by post on a topic that doesn't go over well with the hope of getting actual responses, especially when this same thing has happened so many times before. Most of us have no idea how to read an ultrasound picture except to spot the baby.
  • I think old wives tales and such for guessing gender are fun, why not?
I had never heard of the Ramzi method, but after a quick Google search I'm saying BOY!

    For sex*.

Gender is decided much later on.
  • I did lurk, I have been "lurking" for some time. Just FYI ;)

The nature of predicting is guessing what the future will be. Soooo gender being determined later on in the future, different than chromosomal sex, yeah, I'm predicting she will have a future boy.

It's just a game, I don't need my language policed by the PC police. Good for you you got to point out the difference in sex and gender. Though you could have explained it better to increase people's knowledge who may not know, that would be laudible, instead of just being picky.
