Aggressive kicking

Hi ladies, I'm 34 weeks and 5 days and the past 2 days baby boy has been moving more than ever and aggressivly! My stomach HURTS! Anyone else feeling this way? What's going on in there and any way to settle him down? It's so uncomfortable and not sure if I should be worried.

  • I'm 35w 5d and my little guy is moving a lot too. At one point I thought a body part was going to come flying out! I find that drinking some water calms my guy down. Good luck!
  • 34w3d and the kicking is much more aggressive and painful than it was with DS. Right now it looks like an alien is literally trying to escape my belly. It's all normal, though. Enjoy these moments :)
  • I swear my LO is trying to crawl scratch or kick her way out of my belly button. It's awful. She's constantly getting
  • Less amniotic fluid now that baby is bigger. You will be feeling those hard kicks!

  • Yep, got one of those too. Earlier DH thought I had a contraction but no, I had just taken a field goal Attempt type of kick to my hip. It hurt!! b-(
  • OMG these kicks, punches and worm like movements are so intense! Don't get me wrong I'm glad LO is moving but I wish he/she would relax especially as it usually happens when I'm trying to fall asleep and stirs up my heartburn...I'm 35w4d so I've got a few more weeks left and I'm not rushing LO at all just wish LO would calm a little bit so I could get some sleep, as I hear from lots of people that I won't get much once LO does make a debut!
  • My son has kicked me several times now so hard that I have jumped.. One time my husband felt it too and he just looked at my stomach and was like "is he trying to bust through or something??"
  • I feel like he's splitting my upper abs apart from his pushing, and he seems to have finally found my ribs. I think it's all normal /: sometimes I can push him away into a better position (gently of course!)
  • Yep said this to my sister today I told her baby is kicking so much harder now. Baby actually has hiccups right now too
  • My little lady certainly has her moments where it feels like she's practicing karate or something in there. but then there are other times where she just seems very mellow and chill with more graceful and less aggressive movements. always keeping me on my toes, i can expect a lot of that the next 18-20 years :D
    BabyName Ticker
  • LO has been shoving his feet into my ribs and keeping them there lately. I've taken to poking him back! Not that it helps a whole lot..
  • Haha maybe it's a boy thing my baby boy is exactly the same lately it's crazy I love that he's moving around but far out not so hard would be nice!!!
  • Mine now not only kicks like crazy, but stretches his/her legs out and braces his/her feet right against something extremely uncomfortable. I have to poke at those little feet to get them to move to a less painful position. Don't even feel bad.
  • Mine decided to go breech a week or so ago, now his favorite position is sitting on top of my lungs, with his head pushing a out of my abdomin. It looks like I have a baseball sticking out right under my ribs. While kicling my lower abdomin/ bladder.

    He is a jerk...

  • Had a kick that nearly dropped me, took my breath away that's for sure.
But my little man has taken a liking to punching me down below.
  • Once in a while if she gets into a weird spot I can wiggle her out with cat/cow yoga pose. I'm just tired of the daily hiccups. Chill out with the fluid, girl!

I use this as well.  It feels wonderful to release all of that pressure!  Also tired of the hiccups.  He gets them 3-4 times per day!

I do this.  It really helps with a lot of symptoms of back pain as well as getting LO out of the rib cage.  I do this after I get home from work and the girls have started joining in.  It's nice to do something physical with just the girls.  I ran with them at one point, but now even sitting outside at the playground with them can be a lot of work so it's nice we have our time back.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • Cat/Cow is the best!  My 3yo loves to climb on me and play horse, so it has become an after bedtime activity for me.  I actually do it while I watch Jeopardy.  I figure I'm getting at least 30 minutes of stretching in a day if nothing else (exercise is hit or miss these days).  Am I the jeopardy fan under 60?  Please tell me I'm not, there is this guy on there now named Matt and he is a jeopardy machine!  At first he's creepy, but after a few nights, he became oddly compelling.
Also sitting on the exercise ball and gently bouncing seems to calm baby and get him/her out of my ribs.  Another Jeopardy activity.

I love Jeopardy!  BF hates it, but slightly less than most of the other shows on during that time period so I watch it most nights.  lol.

    I love Jeopardy, too.

I am also getting abused internally, especially around 11pm. Thanks, sweetheart.

My son does an interpretative dance to the squeaking hamster wheel every morning at about 3am.. Then I think to myself.. Why don't I just move them hamster out of our room? So that's pretty much all I accomplished today.. Nothing else.. Just moved the small hamster cage into our small hallway..
  • DD2 loves to flutter kick. She also loves to push out and throw elbows.
  • Omg. I do this pose everyday!! :)) It really helps with pressure on my intestines. We are also a jeopardy fan ;) me and my other 3 children!! Lol
