6 week doctors appt? Who has one? After labour

my doctor didn't say anything about making a 6 week check up after labour? How many people have an appt? I feel I should get checked out and get the approval to workout again etc

They told me a discharge to call and make an appointment. My midwife does 1 month instead of 6 weeks.

I've got one for 5.5w. Vaginal delivery if it makes a difference. My Dr told me to take it easy til then, just walking, she wants to check how my stitches healed before I do anything more.

I had my 6 week check up on Wednesday. The hospital told me to call & make the appointment when I was discharged.

I made mine at my last appointment before giving birth. You should definitely call your doctor's office.

My hospital was great - they ask for the name of all your doctors - OB, pediatrician for baby - and they call and set up all your appointments. You can change them if you need but it was nice not to have to spend an afternoon making phone calls. So I had my 6 week appointment set up before I was discharged!

I had mine yesterday. Mine did a cervical check to make sure my cervix was closed and my tear was healed (and got the all-clear for sex). If you had a c-section they would check your incision. I would call your OB to make an appt.

We made my 6 week appt when we decided my induction date. I refuse to have sex until I get checked out but I started working out on tuesday at my 3 week mark because I feel like I'm ready although I'm taking it very easy.

Yup. My doctor told me before I started pushing to make a 6 weeks appoitmen. After the baby was here she told me again. Then she came to see me the next day and day after and also told me both times. Now it's 3 weeks and I just got a phone call reminding me to make the 6 week appointment.
... I guess I have to make that appoitmen then.
