I hate using the dish washer, so when I ask my boyfriend to wash them he purposely mentions the dishwasher to make me cringe and volunteer myself. He won't win this battle for long! Lol
I did all my dishes last night and washed my sponges because they were getting stinky. I'm slightly more miffed at my roommates, they unexpectedly moved out a little over a week ago. Then LEFT a huge mess of everything that they apparently were not taking with them. So my next project to tackle is the refrigerator and the pantry. woohooo (good thing I don't have class today)
Getting help with anything in this house is like pulling teeth I finally quit asking and do it all myself otherwise it will mold before it gets done. Gross. Lol
My husband did the dishes the other day. There were at least three dishes I had to rewash because they still had food caked on/in them, but at least he tried
We had a dinner party on Saturday night with my husband's friends. Since it was for his friends, he promised to clean up. It's Thursday and there are still dishes on the counter. I'm boycotting. Not sure how much longer I can stay strong!

At least that means you got some free food, right?
Ugh. BF will do the dishes but he believes since we have a machine called a dishwasher he should not have to wash them before loading them. That's fine if they're rinsed immediately after use and the dishwasher is run after every meal, but that's not how it works. If the dishes sit for a few hours you HAVE to wash the dried on stuff off first! He's teaching the kids how to do dishes and I've had to go back and explain to them that daddy isn't really very good at this and the dishwasher is just for sanitizing the dishes after they're mostly clean anyway.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.
Around our house, dishes are my husbands job. They don't always get done every day, and sometimes I have to remind him, but I almost never have to do them.
It started when I got pregnant with my son and doing the dishes would make me sick. Almost six years later it is still his job. The trade off is I do all the laundry.
Not liking this chore! Our sink is really deep and my belly gets in the way so I either have to stand on my toes or hunch my back over till it aches. I've been trying the load the dish into the washer right away not in the sink method- it's somewhat working at our house.

This has been our "deal" since marriage. I just get dust rated when he let's it pile up or leaves things still dirty. I end up rewarding them, which just bugs me x 1,000,000. Or he wants us to put dishes right in the dishwasher instead if the sink. I would gladly do it if he would ever empty the dishwasher. I know if I don't like it, I can just do it myself, but ugh.... why?
Agreement used to be him kitchen me bathroom and laundry now that he's gone I still hate cleaning the kitchen but had maggots the other day so cleaning a lot now
Maybe I just know myself/my SO too well, but have any of you considered that your other halves are playing you? Dishes aren't rocket science. I'd bet money that some guys play dumb just to get out of having to do that chore.
I'm only saying that because I totally play stupid/like I am immensely bad at something to get out of it. Like grilling.I don't have to deal with his grill if I might ruin it with my ignorance

Uhhhhhhhh ermmmm; doesn't the dishes need to sit there...like a long time to be able to hit that point? I don't think a pregnant woman should be handling dishes with that much bacteria on them so I would really get on SO's ass...or clean as you go so it doesn't get like that.....wow.
Edit: Sorry as I didn't understand SO was gone. Damage done so hopefully you don't need to handle something with that much bacteria again.

Lol I do this ALL. THE. TIME he is really good at cooking, so I just let him handle dinner 90% of the time. I can cook, but he just does it so well, no need to risk it

I was making fun of DH the other day for having to teach him how to use the dishwasher and washing machine when we first got married. At which point he admitted FINALLY that it was all an act. I'm suspicious now of anyone who claims ignorance.

I hate dishes. Sorry for the rant.
