Trying not to freak out...

So I got my BFP yesterday morning. I took two FRER Digital tests first thing in the morning and both came back "Yes+"

I went to Kaiser later in the afternoon on my lunch break for confirmation and since I was a walk-in they couldn't do a blood test - just a urine test.

I looked at my results this morning on my KP app and it says that my test was inconclusive. I spoke with the advice nurse and she said that since it was in the afternoon there's a chance that my urine had been diluted, hence the inconclusive, because HCG is most concentrated first thing in the morning. I've put in a request with my OBGYN for a blood test.

I know "inconclusive" does not mean that I'm not pregnant and two positive HPTs is a good sign but I can't help but be freaking out a little. I just wish I could rush over there and give my blood sample immediately.

I love how I'm supposedly supposed to get work done now.... UGH (Thanks for letting me freak out here!)

Urine can be effected with dilution and how sensitive the test is. I wouldn't freak out just yet and try to schedule a blood draw at some point. Did you miss your AF yet?

I already have the request in for a blood draw so I'll do one ASAP.

AF was supposed to come yesterday - no blood or spotting yet....

So, I would take that as a good sign

urine isn't the best especially if you drink a lot of water and didn't hold your bladder.

Thanks - I appreciate that . Yeah and I had had plenty of water before taking the afternoon test.

My doctor said she's putting in an order for me so hopefully I can go in later today for the blood test and know within a day or so.

Yep, I work in a hospital and that is why we always do blood vs. urine. Blood is way more reliable.

Yeah if you can get a blood test just hold your fee for a few. And don't dilute it with a bunch of water. Then POAS again.

yep. going to get the blood test in the late afternoon and then I'll probably pee on ALL the sticks tomorrow morning.... lol

Just FYI - most people don't get blood draws unless you are high risk or have a history of issues with fertility (my doctor wouldn't do them and I'm 34 and have been trying for nearly a year...in fact you usually don't get in to the doctor until week 8-10).

You've peed on multiple sticks and have gotten positive results and have not gotten your period. You are pregnant so no need to freak yourself out worrying that you aren't. Congrats!

Hey @joose159 we're cycle and BFP buddies! Got a faint positive yesterday afternoon and a very visible positive after holding it for 4 hrs, and then a positive on a digital this morning. I know I felt a lot more confident being able to hold a hpt that said pregnant on it. Try a digital in the am or after holding it a few hours if you can't wait for the blood test results.
