Don't really "feel" pregnant...6w 5d??

Hi ya'll...I'm a FTM, and found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago...my boobs were hurting a whole lot, I had some cramping, and I could eat a horse! I was also incredibly exhausted.

My boobs are still a little sore, and I am still pretty sleepy a lot but that's about it, I don't have anything else, no ms, or anything. Not that I want to feel sick or anything...it just makes me a little nervous that I'm not really feeling anything else right now, is that normal?

  • Totally normal! And at this stage of pregnancy, you may feel nothing today and all of the symptoms tomorrow (which I hope you don't!!). I'm a day less pregnant than you are and experiencing the same thing.

  • Sometimes I almost forget that I'm pregnant. I haven't had any symptoms except a little cramping. It's normal! Love these moments because it gets uncomfortable fast.
  • I am 10 weeks and aside from some food aversions and sore boobs (which come and go and which don't hurt nearly as much after the first week or so) I don't really have symptoms. Anything I do have comes and goes. Seriously don't worry about this at all and, do yourself a favor and don't take pregnancy tests. I went through that and the tests started going lighter and it freaked me out. Apparently the tests are really only accurate at the beginning and the line lightness is irrelevant as time goes on. I just saw the baby two days ago in an US so clearly everything is well.
  • I'm in the same boat as you. I also experience anxiety and have been psyching myself out. I keep telling myself to take deep breaths and try to relax and enjoy this experience.
  • Yup normal, and I think everyone of us has had this at some point. I fully expected to be sick as a dog the moment the HPTS turned positive. Why? Because that's what TV and movies make it out to be. Also, think of your friends that have been KU... I bet they only tell you the horror stories of pregnancy and childbirth. No one finds the story about the woman that didn't have MS exciting. So we all go into this journey expecting the worst, when it seems that most of us feel this way at some point!

That's so true...just like I was telling my husband...in Hispanic soap operas, they always show the newly prego constantly fainting and that's how everyone finds out she's pregnant lol. I've never seen this in real life.
  • I am 7w 3d and I had the exact symptoms (or lack of symptoms) as you up until 7w, then morning sickness kicked in full force and exhaustion. Everyone is different and that is normal!

I like to compare it to the JLo movie the BackUp Plan (Which I totes had to google because I couldn't think of the name of it!!). She is like 3 days past IVF treatments and already scooping chili out of a pot with bread, her cravings are *that* bad? But unfortunately, that's what I thought would happen!

  • I'm 8w2d and still haven't had many symptoms and the few I have had were very mild so I think you're just fine! So anxious for my first appointment tomorrow but I have faith that everything is going well. We are just some lucky mamas!!

Yay! My first u/s appt is Tuesday, and I am so anxious! This has been what feels like the slowest week of my life.
  • Thanks!

On another note, can you please tell me how I can add those tickers to my comments? I tried putting the code in my signature, but when I tested it, the code is what showed up and not the ticker lol

  • Hi there, this is exactly how I felt last week (I was 7 weeks last week), was worried that my few symptoms were waning. I was so worried, as I had a miscarriage in April, so I booked a scan. Had scan this morning and saw the heartbeat pounding away! So don't worry, the lack of symptoms doesn't mean bad news. X

  • Hey I think it's ok and normal. Don't worry. I am 8w4d and apart from being very hungry and a little uncomfortable due to bloating I get through the day pretty smoothly without any of the usual suspects. Don't even have sore boobs yet. But yes thanks for starting this thread. I atleast know I am not the only one with lack of symptoms. :)
  • I'm pregnant with #2 and I'm just as tired as last time but the nausea seems to be toned down. Try to keep reminding yourself that every day, every pregnancy, and every person is different!
