Very hard situation :/

I am 25 wks today and have to decide to sell my home in NJ and move to NC due to husbands employment. the catch is we have byers that want a contingent till the 16th of November which was fine with use . However we asked that i we could have a contingent for us on the 6th of November. buy to pregnancy related issues. One being that I am scheduled for a fetal/plecenta monitoring due to a high AFP and after ruling out nural tube defects. they are left to find what is the cause. So not only is moving while pregnant or anything stressful it is now compounded that they want an yes we are locked in no mater what but they will still have the option to walk. This was no some planed and from all a counts was and is a healthy baby. however, that being said the is still a risk for preclamcia, IUGR, and still born and that is why they want to monitor. I would feel safer once that day is over and everything is good.
I don't want to be in a NICU while getting sued for a breach of contract. or run looking for a new hospital and Dr.
what would you ladies decide. tell them the 28th and we will stop showing other buyers and hope they agree or let pull out if the don't ecept it.or do we walk bc they have been too pushey.

Re: Very hard situation :/

  • Walk. It's too risky and too much stress. And something just doesn't sound right if you ask me. Other buyers will come.....

  • What are the buyers contingent to? Selling their house? I am confused what you are contingent to, if the pregnancy and baby are healthy? Do you have family near by and is DH taking this job no matter what?

  • Sounds too risky to me but I'm not a risk taker ---- I always go with the, if the worst happens, would you have regretted this? What does your real estate attorney say?
  • I think it's common to pull your house from the market for a couple weeks while the buyers due their dilligence. I assume it's so they can do a home inspection, secure financing, etc? If that's the case, I would hang in there. I bought a house in Jan and we made the sellers hang tight for a couple weeks while we got things in order. If they hadn't given us that time, we wouldn't have been able to buy it. What does your real estate agent say?
  • That is how buying and selling houses works. Buyers and sellers can set contingencies but once you go forward with an offer you are locked in. Have you spoken to your real estate agent?
