  I've been experiencing period like cramps since around 3w, 2d even before my positive test. I'm 5w, 4d and still having them. I'm not seeing my OB until 9w but the nurse said mild cramping is totally normal, unless you're doubled over in pain or are experiencing bleeding or severe vommiting with the cramping. She said its just your uterus expanding in your body. As for back pain, I injured my back a few years ago and always have some level of discomfort so it's hard to tell. This is my first so the cramping makes me nervous but I keep telling myself that there is nothing I can do and try to relax or distract myself. Good luck!

  Have you gotten a positive pregnancy test yet?

  I have all the cramps. Actually, I have all the back pain. And even some blood. Doc told me it's normal. Take a hot bath. But not too hot.

  I have mostly the back pain right now. As PP said, unless you are doubling over in pain and severely bleeding/vomiting, I wouldn't worry about it. All par for the course.

  I had really bad cramps on monday.  I have barely there cramps now for two days, was a little crampy after exercising this AM.

  Idk why but I had horrible horrible cramps all throughout week 3 1/2-4 1/2. Ever since starting a stool softener with my prenatal each morning and drinking a lot more water... Barely any.

  Yes! Ive had light cramping since mid week 5, then today I had a bit of light spotting. Calling dr in the morning. I've just been off my feet this afternoon, resting, and praying for the best. Good luck to you!
