Contraction Tracking App

I did a quick search but didn't see anything on our board:

Which App are you ladies using for timing your contractions? What do you like / dislike about it?

There are about 500 more choices than when I gave birth three years ago.... haha.

Re: Contraction Tracking App

  • I dont feel any contractions yet :)
But that's a great question for the big day. I will follow that thread.

  • Loading the player...
  • I didn't even know this was a thing.

  • I haven't had to use it yet but I downloaded one called "Full Term".
  • I liked the one I used last time, I just can't remember which one it was. There was only three choices I think at that time.

I found that it was really helpful in determining early/ false labor. I could see if they were getting longer or more frequent without having to use my brain... which is good when there was so much adrenaline, excitement, and pain

Plus I was able to just hand my phone to my midwife and she was able to see exactly where I had been before coming in.
  • I have one that is just called "contractions" and I absolutely hate it. It was okay the first time I used it, but if you go through one bout of contractions you track one day and then days later go to use the app again it still takes into account your previous contractions and there's no way to clear the history, so the charts are just a mess. At very least though I can take a look at timing on the individual listing of contraction history.

Really, I need to get a new one. But I do not recommend the one called contractions with a yellow icon.
  • We downloaded 'Fullterm' as well as after a bit of research it's reviewed well by others.
  • I also downloaded full term app. It was recommended at my birthing class by the nurse.
  • Thanks for sharing. I didn't know this was a thing. Could have used it today!
  • So, after reading this, I downloaded full term. I like it a heck of a lot better than my other one already.
  • Thanks for posting this. Any good free apps? I have been having contractions all week long at 36 weeks.

  • Just in case some of you didn't know, there is a Contraction counter right here in this same app. Althought it sounds like the other apps are much more useful than this.
  • I don't have a contraction counter, but I do have the Baby Kicks app and it kicks butt!
I figure I'll just use the stopwatch on my phone to time contractions if I get any.

I downloaded one for Android called "Contraction Timer". It had good reviews. We'll see if I actually use it though. :)
