Baby won't let me put him down...

So I live with my mom and my BF has his own place. We're working on our own apartment soon, but my mom insists I stry here until the LO is at least 6 months and we've got our work/babysitting schedule down.

My boyfriend sleeps over and is here almost everyday unless he is at work... so the nights he does go home, I think our little guy knows. He sleeps fine when dad is at work, but not when he stays home.

LO won't let me put him down in his bassinet or swing and will only sleep on my chest or in my bed.

Anyone else have a similar situation? My mom thinks I'm sending bad vibes to the little guy, but I'm not sure if that's possible. Or if it's possible for him to sense his dad is gone and won't be back.

    How old is your LO? I had this issue for the first month. Then it slowly got better and now at almost 3 months, she's pretty content when I need to put her down to do things. If your LO is still very young, I think this is very normal behavior. LO is just trying to adjust to the outside world. I don't think it's you at all.

    My husband is working in another state and LO doesn't do as well when he's gone. I think she picks up on my stress and anxiety level

    My lo has a hard time sleeping when we are not holding her. It can take me a while but I can get her down by putting together a routine. I did the following- feed her before putting her down. I make sure to keep her upright for 15 min after feed to minimize acid reflux. I have a vibration on the bassinett (bought at amazon) and I turn on a heartbeat white noise. Then I read to her with my hand in her chest. I read adult books for now since it is just about hearing my voice. Then when she looks asleep I remove my hand and read another 5-10 min. It takes a white but it works.

    During the day I can usually get her down in a swing with a blanket that smells like me. We will cuddle with the blanket then when I put her in the swing I take the same blanket in the swing. I works most the time.
