Re: Anyone feel cramping / slight pains

  • Me....not really cramps, but just weird twinges in my lower uterus and up along the sides of my belly. Mostly just started over the last couple of days, but I feel like it's pretty normal (not an expert here by any means). Lots of changes happening in that baby maker right now!

  • I have some slight pinching, and I feel it at night (laying down) the most. Not period cramps, but something going on.
  • I feel it too!
  • I get a mild cramp every now and then and my abdomen is a little tender sometimes... from what I understand as long as your not doubled over and bleeding you shouldn't need to worry :)

I definitely feel twinges and slight cramps on and off all day long.  It's been really constant today, too.  I guess I shouldn't complain too much since I haven't experienced nausea or anything like that yet.

  • me too - trying to remember some cramping is totally normal - at least that's what I've read....
  • I had one day of moderate cramping, now just twinges with activity here and there. Spoke to my doctor today about MS, basically said it's fairly normal.
  • I have the same. I figured it was sort of around the time of my normal period and my body is adjusting.
  • Are your pains more centered on one side?? Mine is on the right and someone else had posted they were about Etopic bc of this.

    And now I'm worried. :|
  • So glad I'm not the only one. I've been having pain (more like a pinching feeling) on the left side of my lower abdomen. I searched ectopic too. It seems like ectopic would be more painful than this and accompanied by bleeding. I haven't had any bleeding so hopefully this is normal. I don't remember feeling this with my first though. I'm going to call my OB and find out.
  • Update. OB nurse says cramping after missed period is not uncommon. It's your body adjusting to no period. However, if the pain is on one side only and becomes very bothersome it's recommended to go to the ER and get a sonogram. They probably won't be able to hear a heartbeat but they should be able to see a sac. And they'd be able to tell if it's in the uterus or the tube.
  • Hope all goes well! Keep us posted :)

  • Thanks @MillerMama13 ! I wouldn't say any of my cramps are very bothersome but it's good to know. And I had some feeling in my left side today too so who knows! Mine is def. more of a pinching feeling.
  • I'm experiencing this too! I'm nervous because I don't remember the cramps with my first. =-(

  • I have cramps. Have since my BFP. I've always been told that's totally normal. Your uterus is a busy spot these days. I assume that comes with the twinges and cramps were feeling.
  • Wait you said we should be able to see a sac? I had an ultrasound today for an unrelated issue and told the woman I had 2 positive pregnancy tests (including one this morning) but she didn't see anything. She said my endometrium is really thick and it could just be too early since I'm 4+2.
  • Yes. I think 4 weeks is too early. I'm 5 weeks 3 days. I'm sure that's why.
  • Perfect, that's what I thought but I always get a little anxious in the beginning!
  • I've been having light cramps, they're just not as "sharp" as normal period cramps.

Tonight was something new though, I started getting like a pinching feeling around where my cervix is I think? I'm trying to remember if I had that last time.
  • I have what I refer to them as un-pains. Little pinches and twinges that resemble the quick pain that you get when you get a shot that doesn't really hurt but you DO totally feel. Off and on for both sides since right about the 4 week mark and dozens of times per day. I also have a low back pain that has happened four or five times in the last week and scared the crap out of me but I'm an ultra-paranoid FTM with a past of issues so much so that the fetus has been referred to as "Schrödinger's baby" because until I see that little bean on a sonogram or ultrasound, it is and isn't and is ectopic triplets for all I know.

And that just turned into an awkward vent... ;)

  • With my first, I had moderate to severe menstral cramps for the first 7 weeks, all the time. It is apparently normal. Just your uterus starting to stretch. :)
  • I'm getting them too! Normal as long as there is no bleeding. I use a heating pad and walking to help me through the pain. ;)
  • I've been having them too for a little over two weeks now. I'm 6+1
  • Some cramping is normal, your uterus is adjusting and starting to stretch a little bit. If it gets unbearable or you notice it's bad on one side head for the ER.

  • Little twinges of uterine cramping (not severe) and some gas pain. Had this with my first and now my second. Totally normal. :)

  • Yep, I've had intermittent mild cramping for the past few weeks. Nothing I would classify as painful, but some times a smidge more intense. Usually just lasts for a few minutes then goes away. Right now its just one of the few things that remind me I'm pregnant... That & being exhausted all the time lol.
  • I'm getting some cramps too off and on too, but nothing severe. I'm 4 weeks, 1 day.

  • This all makes me feel better. I miscarried in March so every cramp makes me nervous but you all seem to have same symptoms. I am having on and off what feel like mild menstrual cramps and sharper pains on my left side.

    xx
  • Mine are sharper on my left side, too. But overall pretty mild and no bleeding, so I'm assuming it's business as normal... At least I hope so!
  • I'm cramping too! Mostly at night but besidss that my only other symptom is sore nipples!
  • The corpus luteum can also cause recurrent pain on one side as it makes progesterone early in the pregnancy. It can grow really large and irritate your ovary, causing some pain.

  • Yea! Cramps! Not the kind that make me double over and cry. But WTF! There's like pinching on left side mostly. Then nothing. Then mild cramps - those could be constipation (another wonderful new symptom) and then sharp pinching again.
Enough! I too am trying to keep myself calm and not freak out about a EP

  • I have been feeling cramps as well usually right after lunch and late at night. Almost like the cramps you get when you have a cycle. I hope this symptom goes away soon along with these sore boobs, lol!
  • I've been experiencing on and off period type cramps. I keep thinking my period is coming, then I get a little worried, then the cramping stops. FTM and trying not to stress about it because it seems normal.
  • Hi ladies. I just put this in another thread too but I had cramping with DS1 the first tri. It was like BAD menstrual cramps, bad enough that I had to lie down and curl up for 15 min. And I was totally fine!! Try not to worry.

  • I've had them too, totally normal according to everything I've read. Google top 10 early pregnancy symptoms it's in a lot of the versions of that.
  • Yes, I've had light cramping and twinges also. I'm sure everything is fine as long as the cramping isn't too severe and there's no heavy bleeding.
