There has been one. And no, these don't go over well.
There is a 50/50 chance of what sex your baby will be and this method has been disproven. You should lurk a little more.
Hmmm from what I have been reading about this theory I would say it looks like it's a girl bc the baby is positioned on the right!! Have fun with it.. That's all the theory is for, that's why it's called a theory! If it was proven around 100% of the time it would be a fact. Happy and healthy pregnancy to you
I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape over these. She said it was just for fun...as in not to be taken overly seriously, at least that's how I interpreted "for fun".
1. There have been 3 other Ramzi posts. 2. Multiple studies have debunked his one study. 3. If you want to try to follow up on the theory for fun anyway, it relies on which side (really, the theory breaks it into quadrants...two boy, two girl) the placenta is on, not the baby necessarily.

You're newish to the bump which is why you don't understand. The flow/attitudeof this board is different than others such as Babycenter. We don't do this stuff here.

Hang on a sec... aren't you "newish" too @aamm04? I've been here awhile, and I know that people get upset about these posts, but really not sure why. It's silly, it's fun, and pointless, but so many are the other posts. To get annoyed by a new mom's posts that are explicitly labeled "just for fun" is rediculous. There are a lot more annoying posts, repeat threads, and ignorant UO's floating around IMO. I think an occasional Ramzi post isn't the worst thing ever. My 2 cents...over and out.
I say let them have fun! We can't dictate what every thread is about. At least it's a thread for everyone and not a single post about just her individual ultrasound.
I don't think saying that this is a research and science based board justifies making people feel bad about something they think is fun. There is a thread also about "feelings" if the baby is a boy or girl....that is about as scientific as this yet there is no hostile atmosphere around it because it's for fun...like this seems to be.
I am new but I have seen this response to 1 or 2 other ramzi posts on other months so I know how it goes but I guess I just wanted to hear and understand why there is so much hate over something when it's just as easy for haters to ignore it and not open the thread.
Personally I opened it to look at ultrasound photos with jealousy since im weeks away from my first one.

Wtf? Wow I said just for fun in the title so people could share their ultrasounds and see what people think ... No shit it's not a proven theory. If you don't like it, don't post on it. No I'm not a new mother ... Actually my first ultrasound with my last pregnancy was right on with Ramzi and yes I know it's probably just coincidence. sometimes having a light hearted thread is just what this board needs. Since it's obviously NOT fun at all I'll just take it down

No, I have been on these boards before, prior to the Mass Exodus when I requested a delete because TB had a security issue and some peoples real names posted.
There's a reason why these don't go over well. Eta: not every person is going to like the flow or tone of a board. That's why there is a 72 hour waiting period, to lurk and get a flow for the board. There's also a search function. If someone takes the time to lurk and search topics, they'll see what does and doesn't go over well. I just don't understand why that's so hard I guess.
I don't understand why people like you have to leave negative comments on boards they are obviously not interested in. Get off your high horse. You're about to be a mother.

Excuse you? #1 Me about to be a mother has nothing to do with it. #2 you cannot dictate the comments you receive. #3 some comments are way off base and off limits (even for me, because I have no filter here or in real life).
I pray every day my kid calls it like it is from the minute they can talk.
