Baby adjustments.

So my LO is 2 months old as of yesterday .
I have him on my definition of a "schedule" I feed him at a certain hour every 3 hours .
My baby is formula fed but I been wanting to change things up but since he's so used to how things are I don't know how It could possibly work.
I wanted to do a complete switch around .
He's now eating 3oz every 3 hours. I wanted to start feeding him 4oz since lately he's been showing that he's still hungry after 3 sometimes and feeding him every 4 hours but how do I adjust this ?
He's so used to being fed at for ex. 2 ,5 and again at 8 . Sometimes he won't even go 3 hours and has to be fed at 2 hours but not often .If he goes to sleep and doesn't stay up he wakes up himself up on the 3rd hour .

So someone help a momma out . TIA .

    I would just feed him 4oz and see what he does. I find no matter what I want, my baby does what he wants to do . I like to call him boss man! 4oz may hold him over to 4 hrs or he may just still make it to 3. No experience with ff, so take this with a grain of salt, but this is what I thought when I read your post. GL

    In general, babies tend to eat however much you give them. Try 3.5 oz. for 1-3 days and watch his cues. If he seems to be going with it, you can probably then go the 4 oz. route. If he's throwing up a bit after those feedings then wait a couple weeks and try again.

    My LO is 9 weeks old today and for the past 2 weeks, he has been eating 5oz every 2-3 hours. Sometimes he wont finish the 5 but for the most part he does. It wouldn't hurt to try giving you LO more.

    Hey may eat more because he is growing and needs it but it doesn't mean he will go longer between feedings...

    I've always just fed on demand.  If my baby is still showing hunger cues I give him more.  Neither of my kids has eaten when they weren't hungry, don't force the bottle on them if they spit it out or move it to the side of their mouth that's a sign that they are finished eating.  Burp him every two ounces or so to let him pause and give the milk a chance to settle.  My 2 month old is is a big eater sometimes eating as much as 6 ounces during the evening when he tanks up before bed and sometimes during the morning he only wants 2 ounces or so but typically his bottles are 4-5 ounces.  

    I feed him when he is showing hunger cues and stop when he is satisfied. He lets me know if he is still hungry or not.
