I've never felt so sad in my life. This has been the worst day and I just can't stop crying. I had her for 14 years, and she has been my rock. I just don't know what I'll do without her. Sorry this is my first post. Due: 5/16/16
I am so sorry to hear your sad news!!! This is one of the most awful pains you can endure enotionally. It's really good your talking about this and looking for support at this time. Sending thoughts your way.
So sorry! It can be so hard to lose a pet, they really become part of the family. I'm sure that you did the most humane thing you could, and at 14 she had an incredibly long life. ::hugs::
Christie, I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing and enabling all of us to love on you and sent prayers and peace your way. Losing a pet is... there aren't any words. I hope you find peace soon. So much love your way.
Sending lots of creepy internet hugs your way! Pets are family and it is so hard to say goodbye, but it sounds like you gave your dog a wonderful, long life. That was the only thought that gave me solace after we had to make the decision to put down my loving Himalayan cat, Reggie, after 12 years of friendship and rehab from a previously abusive life. It is never easy, but remember that you gave just as much love and comfort as your furry baby gave to you.
PS- Your kid is going to be awesome because people born on your due date are awesome (it's my birthday!!)
So sorry to hear. But I sounds like they lived a very full and happy life. Dogs are like kids....I'm sorry you had to go through that. Love and prayers.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pets are just so special and as much as your dog was your rock, you were everything to your dog as well. Sending prayers during this hard time.
Oh no! Pets are truly a part of your family. It's so hard to say goodbye!! Think about all the joy you gave each other to get you through.... that's why it's so hard in the first place. 14 years is a great lifespan for a dog!

Pets are our first babies. Today is going to suck. Tomorrow will still suck some, but remember how awesome it was that you had each other for 14 years. What a blessing. Hugs!!!!!
So very sorry - sending lots of hugs! You and your sweet dog were lucky to have each other for a wonderful 14 years!
Weirdly, this quote was on my "Dog of the Day Calendar" today: "He took my heart and ran with it, and I hope he's running still, fast and strong, a piece of my heart bound up with his forever."
I am so sorry for your loss! My dog is 11, so I know my days with him are numbered, and I get choked up just thinking about it. How wonderful that you were able to have 14 years with yours. That is a real blessing. It sounds like he had a long, happy life. I hope you can find comfort and peace in the days ahead. Hugs from Florida!
I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband and I are wondering if these are the last few months for our little old lady dog and it's so terrible to think about. There is nothing that can ever prepare you for that emotional pain.
We lost our cat a little over a year ago and I still get teary about it every once in while. However, we have some great photos to remember him by and it warms my heart to look at those and remeber his time with us.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it can be super rough. We had to put one of our four down in July. She was my shadow. I miss her every day. But I know she is in a better place. Our vet usually sends us the Rainbow Bridge poem every time we lose one. I found it on a YouTube video. Warning, grab a box of tissues. It's not a sad poem but a happy one, and it will tug at your heart strings.
So so sorry! You HAD to do this for her. She's at peace now and wants the same for you, but until you get to that point, cry it out. And when you feel peace all the love and memories will rush in and you'll know she'll always be with you. Release that emotion. There is nothing wrong with that. Treat yourself to something you find comforting.
I'm so sorry... DH and I had to put down our first dog at the beginning of August. It took time for us to get ourselves back to normal (he was literally my first child and the best dog ever). Take this time to grieve as it is necessary. We finally got to the stage where we could look at pictures of him and smile instead of cry. You gave your dog the best life ever and now he is roaming with the other dogs across the rainbow bridge!
So sorry for your loss. It's so hard to let a pet go . I still tear up thinking about my childhood pets that passed away; they were family to me. Hugs to you.
Ugh so sorry for your loss! I had to put my bestfriend down two years ago and I still cry all the time about him. I was 5weeks preggo when I had to do it, it was a really hard time, but just remember the life she lived and how happy she was, how much she loved you, and 14years is such a long time for a dog! Mine died at 5. They'll be waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. You're in my thoughts ❤️
I had to put my cat down almost 2 years ago, and the pain is still there. I think loosing a pet can be even harder than loosing a family member or friend sometimes. The love between a pet and their owner is so pure and unconditional, and the bonds sometimes stronger than between people. Allow yourself time to grieve. A lot of people don't understand grieving for a pet...don't let that stop you from taking the time you need.
I'm so sorry losing a pet is one of the hardest things I've gone through. She had an amazing long life with you and I hope you can think of some happy memories in the coming days!
