Baby poop question

I breastfeed LO and I know BF poop is supposed to be mustardy and seedy. For a while it was exactly that.. but now it's completely liquid with no seeds or really anything substantial. Just straight orange liquid. Is this normal?

Re: Baby poop question

  • I mentioned to our doctor that LO was having more watery poops and she said that he could be getting more hind milk. I would still give your doctor a call to check that everything is normal.

  • There's a wide range of normal. Generally if it's consistently green, frothy or bloody, there's a problem. Foremilk/hindmilk imbalance usually presents as green poop (sometimes with blood), and is accompanied by gas and fussiness.
