Best Sling-Type Baby Carrier

I have a baby carrier where the baby sits upright, but am looking for advice on the best sling-style carrier where baby can lay down (as if I were holding him on my arm). I'm not interested in the Moby wrap or one that requires me to tie it around my body, but I know there are a few sling-style ones that just have one strap that you attach that are really easy to use.

Any suggestions? I would mainly be using it around the house when baby is fussy and wants to be held and walked around, just for support so my arm doesn't feel like it's going to fall off! (He's over 11 lbs.)

    I have a snuggy baby sling...it's ok. I have been using my Tula woven wrap more now tho.

    I'm dying for a Tula ring sling! Theyre kind of pricey, so I just use my wrap..

    I have a maya wrap ring sling, it's a good snug hold for a newborn, but sturdy enough for a toddler hip carry too. I didn't like pouch slings for newborn as they aren't adjustable, hard to get a tight fit.

    I will add, that newborns are usually only horizontal in a carrier for feeding. Otherwise safe positioning is upright, high enough to kiss, with chin off their chest and face visible. In my ring sling she is froggy legged over my chest except to eat. The duffel bag style slings that keep baby horizontal were recalled for suffocation risks.

    I have a ktan which I absolutely love. It's really easy to get baby in and out of on my own and it has a bit of a hammock fit for her. She loves it and sleeps so well in it while we're out running errands. I even had her in it yesterday while I worked on some craft projects

    Sakura Bloom ring sling. There's linen and silk, the silk I think is a bit sturdier for a bigger baby/toddler. Kinda pricey, but they hold their value. There's a Sakura Bloom B/S/T on face book and you can buy one second hand for a good price. I love my Moby, but I'm definitely in love with the ring sling
