Re: Nursing Pad Suggestions??

  • I have the Bamboobies that I used all through pregnancy because I leaked a good bit of colostrum. Now that my milk is in I would not recommend. Maybe I just have an insane milk supply but they don't last more than an hour before they are all the way soaked through. I've been using the disposable lansinoh pads. I swear they can hold over an ounce of milk before they start leaking. And they aren't noticable under clothes. I wear them under tank tops without bras all the time

  • I have reusable pads that also don't seem to hold much milk before they start leaking through. I much prefer disposable, I had a ton of Medela pads that were ok and just switched to target brand which I like better.
  • I second the Lansinoh pads! I leak SO much and they hold a really good amount. I haven't had much luck with the medela brand. I also have the avent brand and they work fairly well, not as well as the Lansinoh ones.

I had a sample of the Medela and I really didn't like how cushiony they were. At that point my milk wasn't all the way in so idk how well they hold up. But they were so bulky!
  • I have only used disposable as well. I have used Nuk, Lanish, and I just bought the target brand. I liked them all.
  • I love the lansinoh brand. Medala was not absorbent enough and reusable was just a joke-they would soak right through :(
  • I really like how thin the nuk ones are. You can't see them under my bra and I haven't leaked through them. I used them often with my first, I just started needing them with this babe.
  • I agree with PP Lansinoh pads are amazing. They hold so much milk

Me too! Used Bamboobies washable ones initially but I hated how they felt once they got wet and I had to change them constantly. I much prefer the Lansiloh disposables and have never leaked using them.
  • I like the Lansinoh pads as well. I only leak through if I don't change regularly. Once my milk supply settled with my first I was able to switch to Bamboobies. It did take a few months though.
  • I love bamboobies for between feedings. I only leak occasionally, and they're discreet and hold more than other washables. For let down during feedings I either press down on the nipple on the other side, or stick a washcloth or tail of a receiving blanket in. I've never tried disposables though, we have a really tight budget for mat leave.
