Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this or if it may be a sign of early labor.. My sister delivered her little guy today at 41+1 and as I was holding him I began having contractions myself at 3 min apart lasting about a minute or so... This lasted for about an hour and a half and then completely disappeared! I'm 39 weeks today and had a membrane sweep done yesterday so I thought I was going into labor. One of the nurses laughed and said they were sympathy contractions but I've never heard of them before. I don't mind waiting another week or two before DD arrives but curious if this could have been a sign of impending labor or if anyone else has experienced these sympathy contractions?
