I was at my father's house for Christmas and New Year's and no one and I mean NO ONE mentioned the fact I'm having a baby soon.
I didn't want special treatment, don't need it, but say Something, for goodness sake!!
Was that weird of them? Or weird of me for expecting someone to say something like, 'how are you feeling?', 'are you excited for the baby?', "when's the baby due again?" -- Something?!

It's definitely weird.
Weird of them, that is.
Yes that is a bit odd. I understand that you didn't want special treatment, but I am sure it would have felt good if someone acted like they were interested. Sorry
In any case, how are you feeling? Do you have the room ready? have you taken labor class yet? Do you have a name picked out? Are your bags packed?
yes that is strange and I would be hurt.
I am sorry they did that to you.
wow. that is truly bizarre and hurtful. I'm really sorry. that probably made you feel pretty lousy. as you know, family can be "funny" sometimes.
are you close to your dad? would your family have a reason to not embrace your pregnancy?

"our IF story"
"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
Thanks so much, ladies. Your responses brought tears to my eyes. I don't know why no one mentioned anything. They love DD like mad. Maybe they just think I'm too old to have another one or something? They're impossible to read and I definitely need to stay away.
And thanks Sarahbell55 for asking! That was too sweet! Let's see ... I'm feeling pretty great except for the relaxin which is doing a number on my knee and pelvis. The room will never be ready and I still have to pull out DD's newborn clothes from the closet, which is a job in itself. We're closing in on middle name(s) -- DH is dragging his feet and is sure we'll come up with something, but of course I want the perfect name.
Are your bags packed? Not even close! Thanks for reminding me!!!
Sigh ... Thanks for asking, and thanks for your reassurances, ladies.
