Hello there! I'm introducing myself. I'm steph from san diego and i've been on TB since december 2014. I was preggo but mc at 8 weeks in january 2015.

I'm finally ready to try again and this is my 3rd cycle ttc. I've been lurking and participating some on TTGP. I like the tww over there but it seems like you ladies are more my speed!

I'm an acupuncturist and yoga teacher and i happen to teach prenatal yoga. I love me some preggos and yoga!! Feel free to ask me questions related to Chinese medicine and i'll do my best to get back to you. I love love herbs and supplements and i have seen first hand what a difference they can make!

  • Hello!  I've never tried acupuncture but would if someone paid and arranged it all for me. haha.  I really want to get into yoga as well.  I tried it once but it was a bit more advanced.  I need like senior citizen yoga for beginners.  Welcome to this board.. fantasic women are all around!
  • Hello and welcome! Acupuncture and TCM have changed my life! In less than three months I regulated my cycles, warmed up my body and improved by circulation. I had been meaning to start it for a really long time but somehow kept pushing it back... now I wish I hadn't endured period-related discomforts for so long. I was so stupid.
    Good luck on your journey!

  • @Piperella don't give up on yoga! Find a class that says beginning, not level 1or 1/2 and with the right teacher it can be the beginning of a beautiful thing.
@BulgariHeart I love that acu has worked so well for you! I hope you have given your acupuncturist a testimonial it sounds like you have got a good thing going. ;)

All this acu love warms my heart
  • Welcome to the group. I've always been interested in acupuncture but my fear of needles and all things pointy keeps me away. I can't even handle a finger stick.

  • @Jenniferk08 I totally understand that fear! I hate finger sticks too. Acupuncture is nothing like a finger stick. That is one of the most painful places in the body to stick a needle- trust me i know from going to acupuncture school!

I also practice a style called japanese meridian therapy where we gently place the needle on the skin or with a shallow instertion. 99% of the time you wont even feel it. If you were interested I'd recommend finding someone like that near you. Good luck!
  • Thanks for the info.
