My doctor can't get me in until November 11, by that point I will be 11 weeks. Anyone else have to wait that long? They did have me start baby aspirin because of my history with preeclampsia.
My doctor doesn't usually see her patients until 10 weeks. Only reason I'm getting in earlier is because of international travel I have to do from week 10-12, then domestic travel week 13, and she wants to at least see me once in the first tri...lol.
It's frustrating to wait but the first ultrasound is so much more fun when you can see legs and arms and everything at 11 weeks! I had my first u/s with my 1st around 7 weeks and we didn't see much so we waited a couple more weeks last time and it was worth it.
I've already been in twice and go again on Friday. Sounds great, but it has been stressful, as she's done an u/s at each one. First one, she didn't see anything, which led to bloodwork for betas and a week of worry. Last week we only saw the gestational sac. Now I'm waiting for Friday to hopefully see a yolk sac. I wish she was more hands off and didn't want to see me yet bc it has done nothing but make me freak. PS, I'm not high risk. I can only imagine how much intervention she uses during labor if she's already done so much in my few weeks of being pregnant. I'll be switching to a midwife soon.
Good luck at your appointment in November! That is a long wait, but it'll be an awesome first u/s!!
Unless you have cause for concern about this particular pregnancy (other than just being classified as high risk) I think early appointments can be more stressful, because you won't have as many answers at that point and the wait for any bloodwork or follow-up ultrasounds can drive a person insane.

I won't be seen until almost 10 weeks. I do have previous losses but, I opted out of all the early monitoring. All it did was cause me stress, pain (so many blood draws!!) and anxiety last time. The unfortunate truth is that usually, there's nothing they can do if something goes wrong this early on. I chose to simply enjoy this time, have hope, and pray to see a strong heartbeat when I see the doctor in 3+ weeks!
