Just for fun! Share ten things either about yourself, baby, what's going on in your life, anything! Makes for a fun read and is a great way to get to know each other. Ten things is harder than you'd think!
I have literally not gone for dinner at my inlaws because they were having breakfast for dinner that night. It's awful. Pancake Tuesday is the only exception.
1. LO was up all night, again. At first I was dealing with it just great, but now I'm starting to get very frustrated. I almost cried with her last night. 2. DH and I have had LO to ourselves for almost 2 weeks but I still don't want my mother to come out and visit yet! Too bad, she'll be here on Thursday and stay for 2 weeks. 3. I wish I could quit the Air Force and be a stay at home mom for a year. So bad. 4. I really really want some pumpkin waffles. I even made waffles yesterday and somehow forgot to make them pumpkin. What the heck. 5. If you could see how much my boobs leak you'd wish you brought some cookies. 6. I am on a mission to find cute nursing clothes. 7. DH, LO, the dog, and I will be making a 36 hour road trip across the country in Dec to visit our families for the holidays. 8. I want to have sex so so so bad it's killing me. But it's only been 1 and 1/2 weeks. Grr. 9. I can't wait to have baby #2 (hopefully a boy!) but I absolutely dread being pregnant, I have never been so miserable. I wanted to get pregnant again right away but I will probably end up waiting a few years because I'm so scared of getting hyperemesis gravidarum again. Even after it went away I was always miserable and sick. 10. I AM IN LOVE with my precious little baby and my husband and my dog and my cats I love our little family, I can't contain my sheer happiness right now.
1. I have 3 sons and my husband and I want to have more kids and I really would love more boys
2. This is the first time I've actually enjoyed EBF and we feed on demand
3. DS3 is 1 month today and he slept 7 hours last night
4. DS3 has tetralogy of fallot which is a heart defect and will be needing open heart surgery this month sometime. They want him as big as possible before surgery but his condition is getting worse. I'm scared.
Not sure where the rest of my post went 6. All 3 of my boys have a shade of red hair like their mama 7. I'm still bitter parenthood isn't on tv anymore 8. We have 3 goats and 16 chickens 9. I use cloth diapers 1. Middle son is 3 and still in diapers. Ugh!
1. I live at the base of the NC mountains and wouldn't have it any other way. I love the mountains (where I went to college), but they get more snow up there.
2. LO is our first child and we are in love!
3. Well, unless you count our furchild. A dog named Oreo who is crazy and also jealous of his sister. He's a Jack Russell and Pointer mix.
4. My husband and I both teach Math at the same high school. The kids love that we are married and work at the same place. I think they are also going to love our daughter. They couldn't stop talking about her before she even got here.
5. LO lost 15 oz after birth and only surpassed her birth weight this week (4 weeks today). I am so relieved! Mainly because we can now let her sleep instead of waking her up to eat!
6. I really don't want to go back to work next month. Our principal has started micro managing our department and one of the other members of our department is really starting to get on my nerves. She doesn't trust us to make any quality materials for our students and really wants to make things as difficult as possible. I'm just glad I was on summer vacago on during the majority of the end of my pregnancy or I might would have wound up unemployed.
9. While I love my daughter, I miss us being able to just pick up and go to dinner or shopping or whatever. That has been one of the biggest adjustments for me.
10. I go back and forth on stopping BFing. Some days are great and others arent. I am proud of myself for sticking with it this long, even though the tears, but there are days where I wouldn't feel guilty switching to strictly formula. My husband has supported me 100% and Im pretry sure I would h e quit without him!
7. DH, LO, the dog, and I will be making a 36 hour road trip across the country in Dec to visit our families for the holidays.
Impressive!!
1. I am 6 weeks PP, so I feel like I need to kick it into gear and be less lazy....but I just want to watch TV.
2. DD2 has been sleeping 4-5 hour stretches most nights in her crib. I pray we continue to be spoiled like this, because DD1 was a terrible sleeper.
3. DD2 won't take a bottle yet, but I confess I haven't tried that hard.
4. I ate an entire bag of candy corn in 3 days...
5. I have little to no patience for DD1's tantrums (she's 2.5)
6. I have zero sex drive when breastfeeding. I find it awkward and am glad my 6 week check up isn't until next week so I feel less guilty holding DH off.
7. I know we need rain, but I love the sunny September weather in Oregon--so beautiful.
8. Donald Trump is ridiculous.
9. DD2 won't take a paci, but loves my pinkie. I wish she would just take a paci instead!
10. Whipped cream cheese is far superior to regular.
1. Baby boy slept for 8 hours last night. I woke up and milk was freely flowing, so not sure the solid nights sleep was worth it!
2. I wish I could win the lottery so I could be a SAHM. I love my job but I am dreading going back and leaving my kids.
3. I am a Kansas City girl, live in rural Kansas now but born and raised in KC, and I have Royals fever something awful!
4. My husband and I celebrate ten years of marriage next month. We were going to plan an elaborate celebration but i used up all my sick time and money is tight, so we are going to go to the nearest metropolitan area and just spend the day shopping and eating at our favorite restaurants while my mom watches the kids. I'm beyond excited for a day-long date with him. :x
5. I've never had a broken bone, but my husband accidentally shot me in the leg once when a gun misfired. Luckily it was just a ricochet and no major damage was done, but I still give him grief for it.
6. I'm deathly afraid of garbage disposals. I finally let my husband install one two years ago, but I don't even use that side of the sink.
7. We have three beagles, two cats, and a snake.
8. Our nursery STILL isn't done. Gets a little closer every day.
9. I love Disney movies.
10. I'm a horrible housekeeper. My house is always messy. Thank god I married a man who does laundry and dishes, or we would live in filth. I've actually gotten better since being home, taking care of two kids, which surprises me.
1. I've still been sending DS1 to daycare most days even though I'm on maternity leave. I feel guilty sending him, but I also feel guilty keeping him home because I feel like he watches too much TV while I try to tend to LO. :-/
2. Both boys are home today and currently napping at the same time. I should be picking up because the house is a disaster, but instead I'm doing this.
3. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 10.5 weeks along. I took a pregnancy test two weeks after we tried, negative. Took another one two days later, negative. Moved on. Turns out I was pregnant.
4. I really want to hire a housekeeper to come every other week and do a deep cleaning. I suck at cleaning and just can't keep up. I figure money spent to free us up for more family time is money well spent.
5. LO is our second child but I'm one of four and sometimes think four would be nice. Even number and all.
6. If we only have one more I go back and forth between wanting a girl so I can have that experience and wanting another boy so he fits right in with his brothers.
7. I'm a lifelong vegetarian.
8. I was born at home and weighed on a fish scale. I was 10 lbs 11 oz. I have challenged that weight since it was on a fish scale, but my dad swears it was reliable.
9. I'm a small person so no one ever believes I weighed that much at birth. I teach high school and my students made me bring in a picture from the day I was born. They swore I was at least 3 months old in the pic. No.
10. I'm not sure I want to go back to work. I like teaching, but there are so many BS hoops to jump through constantly being created by the state it just sounds exhausting.
@jbettles I'm a jays fan and this is our first post season in 22 years so your royals better watch out!
@meggipi5 we have been getting long stretches too and DD1 was so crappy I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
@Growingapepper pumpkin waffles sound delicious! Do you just add pumpkin puree? I'm allergic to cinnamon and it makes me so sad but I try to get the flavors without using it.
1) I have my 6 week checkup today and I am terrified to get the all clear for sex!!! I tore pretty badly and still have a couple stitches. I have zero interest in sex and hubbs is DYING.
2) I have been binge watching on Netflix while BFing and pumping and have blown thru 3 seasons of New Girl in 3 days!
3) sad my little man came early in August. DH and I are both September birthdays, 6 days apart and My son was due 9/10, which is our anniversary. Not a fan of peridot:(
4) our cat died last Thursday, he was my best friend for almost 15 years. He only had one kidney and has been in kidney failure for 13 months so it's a miracle he lived as long as he did. And we lost our 12 year old dog in July. I kinda feel like my cat was neglected his last month of life with most of my attention on the baby and I feel incredibly guilty
5) I had my placenta encapsulated and I will definitely do it again!
6) love my new BFing boobs!! They are amazing!!
7) i am obsessed with etsy. All this free time and my phone while BFing is bad. I already ordered little mans Christmas stocking!!
8) don't have a Facebook page. I haven't since 2010. But I get so bored at home now that I stalk people thru my husbands page. I can't help it, I'm bored and nosey!
9) part of me looks forward to going back to work. Is that bad??
10) The Cubs are going to clinch the wildcard tomorrow night! Playoffs here we come!! Go Cubbies!!!

5. We have 2 dogs who I love very much, but used to love more. I now realize how much they bark during the day.
6. I love amazon prime. Bark collars in 2 days.
7. I hate hate hate pumping. It's demoralizing to try so hard for so little. My supply isn't great and measuring not great is not fun.

9. I actually don't mind dirty diapers. This is a surprise to me.

1. I'm in Nurse Midwifery school and my birth ended up having every medical interventions in the book, including an emergency c section.
2. I have a bicornuate uterus and am not a candidate for a VBAC so I will be a once a c section always a c section even though I believe in VBACs. I also had my MD let my husband take a picture of my uterus during my c section so I could see it and it really looks like a heart.
3. I don't enjoy BF as much as I thought I would. I continue to do it because DS lives it and it's free and easy for us but I definitely don't have that "Madonna and Child" love of breastfeeding.
4. I HATE pumping and only do it when I have too.
5. I started my first semester of clinical when DS was 2 weeks old and actually like getting out by myself that 1 day per week.
6. There have been non-essential than 5 times when me not being on BC yet was the only reason we didn't have sex. Got my Nexplanon last Wednesday so now we are good to go and I am so excited!!
7. I'm kind of upset that my September 26th baby ended up being born on August 28th because now I will forever have that stupid green peridot in my mother's ring instead of a beautiful blue Sapphire.
8. Even though I said I wouldn't and I'm a L&D/PP/Nursery nurse and I tell people not to I have co slept in the bed with DS since he was 7 days old.
9. I have taken 331 pictures of DS since he was born. Plus the 191 from his newborn session. That is 522 pictures not including what my husband and mom have taken.
10. My 2 year old miniature schnauzer Layla, who was my first baby, has eaten 6 nipple shields and 6 pacifiers in the last month.
Bonus: I love DS more than I ever knew possible!!!
@LouLouLove I had a house cleaner here today and it was fantastic. It was a one time cleaning given as a gift, but awesome non the less. If you can spring for it do it.
Love reading everyone's post! Here goes.... 1. I was team green and had to listen to everyone tell me they were positive I was having a boy. I wanted a girl to prove them wrong and alas my little girl proves you can't judge a book by its cover! 2. My husband and I have the same initials, HK, (even before with my maiden name), so we are naming all our children with H names 3. Super proud because I did a Target run, laundry and made dinner today! 4. Find myself wanting to go back to work. 5. I really enjoy breastfeeding my LO! 6. But super excited to try and give her a bottle this week so Dad can help out with feedings 7. This is my first child and I honestly don't know if I want another one. It's a lot of work! 8. I've been watching New Girl too--it's so hilarious. 9. I'm obsessed with The Voice, can't wait for tonight's episode. 10. My husband and I just adore our family. And he has been such an amazing father so far. He can always get LO to calm down when I'm at my wits end.
1. I love breakfast for dinner. Actually had waffles and eggs for dinner tonight
2. I still feel guilty for switching to formula even though it was the best decision for us.
3. I stopped at my job today for the first time since July and realized that I could totally never go back to work and be fine with that!
4. I got the all clear yesterday morning at my 6 week pp check up and jumped hubby as soon as we got the 3 kids to bed. I was scared it was going to hurt but must say it was just like old times! don't be scared, just do it!

9. I love all things pumpkin. But not that pumpkin spice crap
10. I started working out again today. Im hoping I don't lose my motivation like I did after baby#2. Going to take it one day at a time
1. I think it's ridiculous how much my son looks like his daddy and I'm tired of strangers pointing it out because I'm jealous
2. I had a hangnail when my son was fussy and I picked him up and I accidentally scratched him. I cried for 20 mins and couldn't be consoled by my DH
3. I CAN NOT wait for The Walking Dead to come back this weekend! I just bought my son a "I love Daryl Dixon" onesie and I'm dying to put him in it
4. My son is a ginger and everyone thinks we should dress him up as a leprechaun for Halloween but I'm terrified of leprechauns and I refuse to. I'm scarred for life from the leprechaun horror movies
5. My birthday is on Black Friday this year and my adrenaline already starts pumping when I think about the savings I'm going to get!

8. I'm a reality tv addict. It feels like therapy to me when I'm feeling depressed or Gavin anxiety
9. I'm such a girly girl and I love my son and husband more then life but I hate that I'm now out numbered by boys and I pray the next one is a girly girl that I can share my love for everything pretty and sparkly with
10. Im all about DIY and very crafty and hope to start a successful etsy business of my own when my hubby goes back to work
1. DS2 has been doing a 4 hour stetch most nights and I feel spoiled. DS1 was a tricky sleeper so my expectations were low!
2. C section recovery has been hard for me this time and I'm frustrated that i can't be more active yet.
3. Breastfeeding has been loads easier so that's been a huge plus.
4. Breakfast for dinner is so good! Now I want pancakes and bacon.
5. I love watching TV. Reality, cooking, HGTV, sitcoms. I love it but don't have much time for it lately.
6. I really enjoy cooking and can't wait until I'm feeling a bit better and able to cook more.

9. My husband started back at work today and I was so sad but so thankful we had 2 weeks together.
10. Best part of my husband's paternity leave was eating meals together every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with all my boys!
Oh man I love reading all of these! So fun. 10. I hate how my muscles don't fully work after my c section. 9. I'm a snowboarder and so not having those working core muscles bums me out for this season. 8. I love that my son is surrounded by family but I hate sharing him sometimes. 7. I have ocd so I have researched every concerning baby topic from at least 5 different sources. 6. I literally have ocd. 5. I have zero patience with my dogs now. I probably drank four a day during pregnancy. 2. Dh and I plan on adopting one day. I can't wait to see how my son will be as a brother. 1. I could get lost all day imagining what my son will be like. I cannot wait to see his personality grow and develop.
@Growingapepper pumpkin waffles sound delicious! Do you just add pumpkin puree? I'm allergic to cinnamon and it makes me so sad but I try to get the flavors without using it.
I have no idea lol I bought a can of pumpkin puree and figured I'd have the rest of the ingredients, just gotta Google a recipe. Allergic to cinnamon?! That's a bummer, I think you might be able to get away with just nutmeg and maybe allspice.. or is there cinnamon in allspice?
@LouLouLove -- I feel the same way about going back to teaching. I wish I could stay home with LO, but I also dread dealing with the chaos at work. We moved from CA to AZ in June and the state if education here is awful! Our benefits are terrible and admin uses "duties as assigned" on a regular basis to overload their staff. They preach "Students first" but it comes with walking all over teachers and leaving out professionalism. With LO here, it just doesn't seem worth the battle.

I've spent my leave looking for new jobs.
Yes, there is just so much crap to deal with beyond the teaching. We have these ridiculous Student Learning Objectives to do for the state and when they set them up they didn't plan on leave at all. I'm on UNPAID leave and admin is telling me I need to work on them because the due dates are the due dates. How about no because 1) I'm not getting paid and 2) they are completely unreliable as a tool to measure my students or to evaluate me. Ugh, feeling very over it.
1. My mom is leaving today after being here for 3.5 weeks (since the day DS was born). I honestly don't know how I'm going to make dinner and keep up with everything. She's been so great!
2. While shopping at Carters last week, a display fell on my moms foot. Needless to say, it's bad enough (though not broken) that my stepdad has contacted his lawyer.
3. We had two glorious Fall days, but it's heating up again
4. AZ is not my favorite. I love our house, but dislike a lot about living here. I want to move back to Washington a lot more than DH knows.
5. Baby will not sleep on his back. He has to go on chest or in the rocker from the pack n play. Maybe it has something to do with #6.
6. My baby has a crooked buttcrack. Doc said it's probably nothing, but we are scheduling an ultrasound.
7. I can't wait to go running again.
8. I'm nervous about sending LO to daycare... DH ideas supposed stay home with him, but if a job comes up, we won't be able to.
9. I'm dreading going back to work. I actually cried when the doctor told me he would release me on Oct 26... 6 weeks past my c section.
10. Some days I think I could do this baby thing on my own... DH could do more but he has it engrained in his head that only I can calm LO and I have the instinct that keeps baby happy , so he doesn't try as much as he should. I've been encouraging him more to help this.
Re: Ten Things Tuesday
2. MIL wants her way every year so we have two dinners in one day.
3. I am going to eat all the potatoes and stuffing! NOM.
4. I need to get some cold weather for DD1 but there is nothing close so a big trip for some mitts and hats seems daunting.
5. I miss being outdoors a little more. It's been so windy that we haven't gone out much with DD2.
6. DD1 is sick with a cold/croup and it's HEARTBREAKING.
7. DD2 looks like me and it makes me so happy. DD1 is spitting image of her dad and now we each have a twin.

9. I've been catching up on Once Upon a Time from last season - obsessed.
10. I love fall TV! Kind of a junkie but I love trying new shows and my old favourites coming back!
2. LO makes girl number three, perhaps we can now team up and get DH to put the seat down
3. I cannot parallel park AT All, since LO I have parallel parked perfectly 2x. Perhaps sleep deprivation has its benefits.
4. I love breakfast for dinner.
5. LO may have reflux and I am actually hoping she does so there is an answer to why she wakes up screaming every 45-60 minutes.
6. I ate a sleeve of fig newtons last Friday.
7. I make up ridiculous songs to the tune of well known songs and sing to LO all day long.
8. We are not on a schedule, EBF on demand, but almost always catch Kelly and Michael.
9. I can roll my tongue in three rolls.
10. LO has the best big sisters!
I have literally not gone for dinner at my inlaws because they were having breakfast for dinner that night. It's awful. Pancake Tuesday is the only exception.
