Hey! 25w tomorrow. My baby's been pretty active the last couple weeks. But the last couple days I've felt her less. Cause for concern? She's just having an off day like we all do? Thoughts?
At my last appointment my doctor told me not to expect consistent movement until after 28 weeks. She said that even though I've been feeling baby girl moving around a lot for a while now, I shouldn't be concerned if I don't feel her as much for a few days. After 28 weeks is when we should start monitoring it more.
If you search at the bottom of the page you'll see that a number of women have been in your shoes over the last few weeks. This is totally normal. I had several days at 24 weeks with little movement and the last two days have been pretty mild in there too (currently 26w4d). It freaked me out a little at first too until I read that:
1) at this stage it's very common for LO to either flip and face your back or sink down low and that prevents you from being able to feel much
2) until 3rd tri it's very inconsistent, which is why no doctor will tell you to start counting kicks before 28 weeks
3) even at 30 weeks you can only feel about 25% of the movements going on in there, so just because you don't feel a lot doesn't mean there's not a lot going on in there
So hang in there! You'll go through days of paranoia just like the rest of us, our babies just love to make us worry for no reason
Very helpful. Thank you! I read Something this morning that said if you start feeling less frequent movement between 24-28 weeks to call your doc. But I feel like this is not an emergency and I am feeling her, some.
Went through this same thing last week, there was 2 days where I barely felt her moving but it picked back up a few days later! I do have a Doppler I used to give me some peace of mind, maybe that would help ease your worries. I was still bothered by it, but tried not to let my husband know I was worried because it's totally normal at this point.
I think the babies are also figuring out their schedule during this time. Mine used to move constantly during the day and not much at night. Well, yesterday I barely felt her at all during the day but she started moving up a storm right when I was trying to sleep and through much of the night! This has flipped flopped several times in the last few weeks.
