I'm trying to get Scarlett to nap in the PnP.
She naps awesome on our bed, but when she wakes up, she rolls and squirms and pushes the pillow blockade off of the bed. It is only a matter of time before she falls off of the bed again.
She will NOT nap in the PnP for more than 10 minutes at a time, and it is driving me nuts.
Re: Weaning from bed naps is not going so well...
Aww. Give it time. It will take some time for her to get used to it (I've read that new sleep habits take at least 10 days to take effect). Eventually she should get used to it. Did you ever think of a mesh bedrail? That's what we have on our bed right now because my gparents were nervous about leaving her in there. It's been working pretty well. GL!
Ugh. DD has been napping almost exclusively in our bed for several weeks now. She is a crap napper anyway. I am not looking forward to weaning her from it.
For PNP, have you tried the quilted sheet? So much better than the other ones. Or if you move her to the crib, the PBK chamois sheet is awesome.
I'd also put some things that smell like your bed in there, as long as you are able to supervise a little.
I feel your pain, we're weaning from "holding" naps right now, and I'm very happy to get 30 min.
