Rant about baby clothes/items

I'm a second time mom, so I remember this with my first, but I guess I quickly forgot. What is with the 8 million little plastic tags on baby clothes. I just went to put some clothes in the laundry and it took me forever to cut and remove all the tags. And don't even get me started on baby blankets. They use even more tags to keep them folded all cutesy. I'm afraid I'll miss some of them before using them on baby. Rant over. Thanks for listening

Agree so obnoxious. I found a stray plastic thing on a blanket that had been through the wash when I was wrapping little one the other day.

Same, and they're tricky little suckers, too! You'll see the stopper on one side, clip it, but can't find where it comes out the other side so it's stuck there. I'd like to think I've gotten good at it with my SS's clothes but not with those that hide in the seems. And I had a blanket, maybe 2" by 2," must have had 10 plastic ties in it. Really?? It's a tie between doll packing and baby clothes, can't decide which is worse.

Yes! Every time I have a new item I have to get the scissors out and sit down to actively search them all out. Wtf!

OMG I hated removing all those irritating little tags! I literally sat down with my sewing scissors and a trash can for over an hour and painstakingly clipped and retrieved every little piece and discovered one of the most infuriating tasks entrusted to moms-to-be.

And if you're like me, you can never find a pair of scissors so you resort to taking them off without and end up with little snags! Agggh! So annoying!

I bought a pack of 6 pairs of socks. Each sock had between 3-6 of those plastic ties. It took me at least half an hour to fish them all out! Such a pain!

I did this a few weeks ago, and thought to myself I must be crazy for noticing all these tags! Once they were out of the dryer, and I was folding, I still found a few I missed. UGH.

So glad I am not the only one!

Oh goodness, I thought it was just me who thought all of those dumb tags were so obnoxious and unnecessary. Not to mention a choking hazard for the little one. I mean, I bought a pack of 6 socks, there are two plastic tags in each set of two socks to connect them to the cardboard hanger, then a plastic tag to hold each pair together, and another to hold each set of pairs together...I did all of DS clothes last weekend, and it took me nearly two hours. So ridiculous.

Uggh! So annoying...and socks are the worst! I save them up (also so I have a full load to wash) and put in a movie and sit and clip all of them in front of the tv. It takes forever! I'd rather have them look less cutesy and nit as much work!

They suck.. and the labels in the seams the most ! Just went through the same ordeal yesterday as I was preparing to wash everything.. Had to sew a few things back together after I accidentally cut a few of the seams. In most cases, the labels are sewn into the seams and I had to leave a part of it there, unless I wanted to sew everything back together.. but then I thought hopefully they are placed where the nappy will be so the baby won't feel them ? Even the clothes that have the top back "label" printed on them still then have a huge regular label on the side... I really don't understand what the manufacturers think they are doing ...
