Movements Feeling Lighter

Starting just yesterday I noticed that my son's movements are lighter. I'm trying to keep count of how many kicks and jabs he delivers but they are so light. I see him moving around a little though. Do I have anything to worry about? Or, is he just running out of room? :((

Re: Movements Feeling Lighter

  • You should call your midwife when you're worried about movement.
  • Loading the player...
  • I'm due Saturday and my little one started moving less as of yesterday as well.. I'm not too worried about it.. He moves every now and then.. and when he hasn't moved for a while I will push and poke my belly until he kicks me back or starts moving for a little bit.. I think they are just running out of room to move as much and when they engage their heads in the pelvis it also slows movement down for them..
  • I would call if you're worried. I noticed my sons movements were lighter and slower than previously and I talked to my doctor. He said at some point it changes from karate kicks to a slow tai chi, but if it gets unusually slower and lighter to call.
  • Could have turned around. Mine is now facing my butt, and I don't feel the kicks as much.
