I'm having twins I'm being induced at 38 +1 weeks do too large growth on both twins. However my sister had her twins at 40 weeks she had a c section do too one of the twins heart rates dropping my older brothers were born a week early however due dates 32 year ago tended to be off by a week or so.
About 57 per cent of twins and almost all triplets are born at or before 37 weeks. Some twins are born at 40 weeks (full-term for a single baby), or even later. But 37 weeks is considered to be full-term for atwin pregnancy. Most twins who arrive early are born between 32 weeks and 37 weeks.
So, I cam currently pregnant with identical twins and they won't let me go past 37 weeks due to the risks outweighing the benefits. I have been told the average for a twin birth is ~35 weeks. My OB doubts I will make it to 37 weeks based on his experience, but this might be a unique thing with identical twins. I think it might depend on if you mono/di or di/di twins. Hope this HELPS!
Or what if your baby is having a baby? Will it have to stay in another nine months?!
The sad part is, I'm pretty sure there are people out there who have really thought this could happen.
OP, in all seriousness, it varies, as PPs have stated. Hopefully your doctor is doing the proper monitoring and will choose the most appropriate time if your twins don't decide on their own. Good luck.
I lurk. I snark. I offer sound advice if you're not BSC. You may not like me. I'm okay with it.
The real question here is what is the exact species of your twins? Some of us are on record as being pregnant with velociraptors which have a shorter gestational period. If your twins are velociraptor then I'm pretty sure you're late. Seek immediate medical attention. If a human baby, you will deliver when you go into labor. I'm guessing somewhere around the EDD a medical professional gave you, but then again you never really can trust the medical community and science in general. Maybe just seek immediate medical attention either way.
