Stripped membranes

I had my 39week appointment on Tuesday, at that time my dr said she was not able to strip my membranes because the cervix was too high!! Went for another appointment today and this dr said it was down more and she was mostly able to strip them!! She said she got it the best she could!! So now we wait to see if it will help me go into labor!!! Haven't had any significant signs yet!!
Anyone else have any experience with having this done? How long after did you go into labor, or didn't it work??

    Had mine stripped yesterday. I'm 75% effaced. She can feel his head. And I'm dilated to a 2. I've had steady contractions every 30 mins since this morning. Had a friend do the acupressure points this morning.... still not in labor strong enough to go in yet tho.

    I've had it done twice. Once at 38+4 and a second time at 39+1. She said my cervix was very ready 85% effaced and it should work. Nothing yet. 39+4 now. Lots and lots of discharge after each sweep but no other signs baby is coming.

    Hoping to have mine stripped tomorrow at my appointment 38weeks 1 day. If she will, I might just have a baby this weekend!

    @DianaF84 Im in the same boat! 2cm and 60%. Membranes stripped this morning at 9 and have been having contractions every 30 minutes or so. Fingers crossed tonight is the night (although I've been saying that for 2 weeks now

    I had my 38 week appt today (3 cm dilated, almost fully effaced) and after my cervical check had alot of blood enough to need a pad then for about 2 hours after more dark mucus blood.. now I'm having menstrual like cramps in my back and uterus doctor said to come on in if the bleeding comes back or contractions increase in intensity, hopefully our little girl is ready to make her appearance. ♡

    I had my membranes stripped with my first at 39 weeks and my water broke that night at 1am. Best of luck!

    40 weeks yesterday. 1cm and 60% effaced and she could feel baby's head so she did the sweep. Been feeling VERY crampy and lost my mucus plug. I think I have been having more contractions but nothing worth timing yet. Hopefully baby comes this weekend!

    @twilight69187 still nothing here. I had a measurement ultrasound yesterday morning. The tech said little man is weighing at 9 lb 1 oz!!!! Give or take a pound and a half and she told me to lean towards heavier! Oh my. Slightly nervous here now. And no, I don't have GD. Both my family and hubby's breed babies big. Due date is considered today, but my next dr appt isn't till thursday. Hoping LO comes soon. Good luck and hopefully your bundle comes soon!! ♡♡♡

    Getting my membranes stripped tomorrow 39 weeks. Just wondering if any of you ladies who had it done front is thread went into labor? Just curious :)

    I had it done twice with no luck. I was induced at 39+4 days via breaking my water. I was already 90 % effaced and 4 cm dilated so breaking my water worked and I had my baby girl after 5 hours of labor, 5 minutes of pushing.

    Had mine done twice with my first and she was 9 days late, didn't work. 39 weeks tomorrow and last week everything was too high and tight.... We will see!

    I had it done at my 39 week appointment with DS and went into labor that night. Had it done at my 39 week appointment yesterday for DD and she still has not made an appearance. My doctor said it works about 2/3 of the time and can take between 24-72 hours.

    I had it done with my first 3 days before my due date and went into labor that night. With my second labor started the morning of the appointment I was going to ask (39weeks 3 days). This time I'll ask to have it done at my appointment on the 20th when I'll be 38 weeks 5 days if I feel it may help things along

    I was going to have mine done at my 39 week appointment yesterday but my cervix was too high and I wasn't dialated at all so my doctor couldn't do it :-( This is my third pregnancy and iv had my membranes stripped for my first two and I believe it works! First born came 5 days early, second came on his due date. I'm bummed that my doctor wasn't able to do it this time but you better bet I'm trying everything else to naturally induce labor! (Sex, walking, sex, drinking raspberry leaf tea, sex, dancing/bouncing around, sex, evening primrose oil, sex, spicy food, oh and sex

    I had my membranes stripped for my second pregnancy at 39w+4d. I had my boy the next night about 30 hours after it was done. I was having regular contractions all night but ones I could sleep through, and all through the next day. It wasn't till early evening they started to be painful and i'd have to concentrate and breathe through them. Thats when I knew it was time to go to the hospital. I was 5cm once we got there :-). I'm 40w+1 and if my Dr. wants to strip membranes at this Friday's appt, she sure can :-) if not I'm happy just waiting too.
