South Carolina Moms (and the entire state!)

edited October 2015 in October 2015 Moms
I know we have a hurricane thread but I specifically want to call out any SC moms and say I hope you're doing ok! I'm just above you in NC and the news is covering everything, apparently they're doing door by door searches now. I don't know if I'm seeing all this because it's regional news or if it's gone national, but these families are having a rough time. We're thinking about you!

Edited for pre-coffee blunder.

  • We are seeing it on the news here in Cincinnati, many prayers

  • Knottie 16832459, I'm in SC but we've been okay so far (fortunately not due until the 30th). I was a little nervous he'd come early since the roads are so flooded, but at least we are safe at home. Not going out today unless there is an emergency!

Definitely thinking of those in the really badly flooded areas. This combination of high winds pushing water onshore and tons of rain doesn't leave anywhere for the water to go. Hoping we will start to dry out this afternoon.
  • in SC as well , and funny im due the 30th too . lol @dannie134 . but just tryna stay in the house and calm . they have everything pretty much closed off and shut down . hate being separated for my SO though , i picked all nights to stay at my parents house and now im stuck without him . but other than that we all are safe . keep us in your prayers .
  • I'm good here in the lowcountry! We have roads washing away but where we are it is safe. My best friend lives in Columbia where they have the worst of the flooding and they are ok too. It's insane around here.
  • I'm in SC too, supposed to be delivering at a MUSC where it's really bad and everything and all the roads are flooded and closed! Due the 21st but at my last appointment doc said any day now. which I mean can be tonight or a week late! Still has me nervous!!! where I am our home is safe, but neighborhoods next to us evacuated and roads to get to most places are closed. Praying my lil man cooks until this flooding passes!
  • I'm in Charleston as well. Checking in to be induced tomorrow! Our neighborhood has had bad flooding, but thankfully not our street or our house. Columbia seems to have it much worse with the rivers overflowing. Prayers for everyone affected!

  • Im in SC to but I live in the upstate, no real floods here. Tons of rain for about a week straight but thankful it is absolutely nothing compared to the lower part of the state.
