Cramping + spotting + frequent Braxton-Hicks?

Of course it's late on a Sunday night when I start freaking out. I've been spotting (brown, odorless) all day, for the first time in my pregnancy. I'm 25w. I've had Braxton Hicks going on for about 2 months already, so that's nothing new, but they're incessant today, like every 15 minutes. I'm also feeling some sharp cramping down low, around cervix level.

I'm trying to just chill out, take it easy and I'll call my dr in the morning. In the meantime, anyone else experience this?

Please go to dr now. Edited because I'm not a dr.
  • At least call the after hours number to see what they say.
  • Call your Dr. now. or go to labor and delivery. Don't feel afraid to be pushy when it comes to your LO.
  • And if you don't feel happy with what your dr. said just go to the hospital.
  • Yeah sweetie you need to go get checked out. ALWAYS better safe than sorry and you've got a few warning signals that need to be addressed. Hoping it's nothing!
  • I hope you went! Let us know!
  • I didn't want to create a brand new thread because I am unsure of what's going on but I really could use some advice. Are there any runners out there? Well, I used to be a runner and I would get these cramps in my stomach. The only way to alleviate it was to stop running. That is what I have right now. I was on the treadmill walking this morning when it began, so I stop my walk short. Mind you, I walk at least 5 days a week. The pain never went away. It is on the right side of my stomach, like halfway between my belly button and my side. I feel it more when I walk and have to walk slightly bent over in order to avoid the pain. I've never felt this is pregnancy before. I called the doctor and they told me to call L&D who said it sounds like RLP. Has anyone else ever felt this or does it sound like something else?

  • @keshakdavis yes it sounds like rlp . There comes a point in every pregnancy, and you're having twins, when you can't do what you used to physically. Make sure you stay hydrated and listen to your body even though it sucks to have new limitations!
  • @Mamabeagle thank you. I really was thinking something was wrong lol. I felt so silly when I called L&D and they told me what it was but I'm glad to know it isn't something serious.
