Getting over the Mirena crash

Hi ladies - I need some cheering up and reassurance. My Mirena was taken out on September 4th and my hormones/emotions have been so out of whack since then. I thought it was over but I keep finding myself having little-to-no patience with my DD, DH, and just everyone in general. I'm hoping this is over soon and not a new normal for me. I'm feeling like a crappy wife and mom because I can't keep the emotions under control. I assumed it'd be a week and I'd be back to my normal self, but that is not the case at all. Is anyone else still experiencing these effects weeks after removal?

I'm right there with you. I had mine out 2 weeks ago. I feel like a psycho person. Not to mention. The removal bleeding just won't let up. I'm ready to be myself again. Best of luck!! Hope it gets better for you soon.
    *edited because I'm scatter brained.

Thanks! I hope you feel better soon, too. I just want to feel like myself again instead of a hormone monster haha.

  • Hormone monster is the perfect description!
  • Huh. Sorry to hear that. I didn't have this when I got mine removed in August. Are you more susceptible to BC as far as being affected hormonally?

I'm really not sure. I loved my Mirena while I had it; it was amazing. I felt good and totally forgot it was even there, but at this point I'm not sure I'd do it again with all of these side effects.
