When my kids are happy, I'm happy

I took DS2 to an event at the local educational farm and he loved it. Often it is hard to take him out to things (even play dates) because he gets overwhelmed easily. It was so wonderful to see his eyes light up when he saw the animals. He was especially delighted when one of the handlers showed him how to tickled her horse's chin. Today was a day that made me glad to be a mom.

Anyone else have a rewarding day/moment recently?

I've got warm fuzzies and just want to spread the happiness.

I took DS (6) to the mall after a 2 1/2 hour drive. No tantrums all day. Success.

I was downstairs washing dishes while DH was entertaining DD. I could hear him upstairs in the nursery singing Amazing Grace to her. Warmed my heart! :x

Took DD1 to the baseball game, she endured train rides that were amazingly crowded, most of the game (6 innings!) and the ride back. Not a single accident the entire time!

DS was fussy last night and DD just HAD to hold and rock him. Cutest thing ever. The lack of size difference also cracked me up. DD is tiny and DS seems big.
